If I remember what Matt told me correctly I believe the story behind the 23's smaller bottle count was that for 22 it was a blend of barrel-age and non barrel-aged beer. When they were blending they enjoyed the taste for the straight barrel-age beer so much they decided to go 100% for 23. They didn't have the space to up the qty of barrels so less beer was released

 

Anybody see this stuff languishing on a shelf in OC or SD?

 

It's still around in the South Bay. I'll be heading up to Irvine next weekif any OC BAs want a bottle or two.

Same here. I have one bottle that I want to age, but I never got a chance to try it fresh, and I haven’t seen it in any bottleshops for the past couple months.

Anybody know what kind of bourbon barrels this was aged in I've looked and can't find it anywhere

 

did none of this make it north? anyone coming to the bay area soon down to do an ip trade? it sucks becuase we got almost all of their other beers including stuff like tortugas. would love to try some, ahwell

 

Clems had some as of today 4/20. Multiple. Clems ripoff price though, forget what it was.
