Couldn't find anything on this but I was thinking of trying to get some. Does anyone know when it was released last and when it is supposed to be released again? is it an annual release or just whenever they feel like making it? also if anyone has any experience... is it better fresh or aged? Thanks everyone!
Last release was late August of 2014. It's been released the last two years, but they're won't be any this year. I have never had it truly fresh, but had 2014 and 2013 side by side a few months ago and the 2013 was the unanimous winner amongst the three of us who tried it.
It will be really hard to get, 1 bottle limit for most people. 1st release was around 300 bottles, I'm not sure if the 2nd was the same.
FYI I don't mean I want to go to the release, I plan on trying to trade for one. Obviously I know it will be hard and I will probably be SOL but if your not tryin' your dyin' right?
As others said, it won't be released again this year (neither will Mornin' Delight, allegedly), and the bottle count each year was insanely low (300 or so both times). It's going to take some ridiculous stuff to get one, but I suppose other than California, you're in the best place to potentially trade for a bottle. Good luck if you pursue it.
I've been hearing from a very good source that your MD allegations are wrong. Being that it's not barrel aged, I imagine it would be easier to keep under wraps with a quick turnaround time.
Yea I talked to the guy before I saw that tweet. It was a few weeks ago. Have no idea if that post has anything to do with MD, but it wouldn't surprise me. Especially because the tweet says something about waking up taste buds. Just hoping it's a Mug Club release this time.
Someone asked in response to that tweet, "Morning Delight maybe?" and Clark replied, "Maybe something better." Are we sure anyone there knows how to brew Morning Delight? I've always heard that the brew day is like 30 hours long for MD and that's why Mike hated making it. I know nothing about brewing other than you have to boil stuff and add yeast at some point but 30 hours seems like a long time to work.
Yea, agreed, no idea if it will be anywhere close to the same beer. But, I feel fairly confident that Clark plans--or at least planned as of two weeks ago--to brew and release MD this year.
Is this the one where you trade for it only to find out that it has already been opened, drank by the sender and some other stout was poured back into the bottle and reasealed?
