I have no earthly idea what this would go for in trade. i know $4$ would be around $30 but id assume the value is in the older varieties. Could i land a bcbs vanilla+? Thanks for the help!
not sure, I just know that Vanilla is pretty tough to get. most people to begin don't want to trade a bottle of Vanilla for a quantity of new, much more easily acquired beers. the KBS 12, 13, and (soon to be) 14 I have acquired without a ton of trouble. the 09, 10, and 11 - I just don't know how many people seek out old KBS for verticals? I see it for BCBS but not for KBS nearly as much, which I think isn't as cellared nearly as often. so, you would need to find people who area really specifically seeking out those old KBS. I think a rough guess would be $40 of limited beers but again you would need to find people who really want the old KBS
There's some value in it, sure. A lot of people tend to agree that KBS isn't the best candidate for aging though. You could probably get a decent bottle(s) for your KBS, but I don't think it'd pull something along the lines of BCBVS.
KBS verts dont seem to carry a ton of value. i would think for your vert you could get maybe a Cherry or Bramble but a Vanilla is probably asking too much. Bramble might be pushing it also.
