Picked up a 4 pack at Haxton's Tollgate in Warwick, RI for about $21. They said they got 3 cases and it is almost gone - I had to ask for it.

Haha, agree. That's my point. Let the free markets work. I will never complain about price gouging.

Ya it wasn't great. Total grapefruit bomb. It was a weird batch. I was able to drink them okay, but it tasted pretty shitty compared to normal. A friend of mine was actually able to get a refund on it.

Last year they had a two 4-pack "limit". Instead I was on Aquidneck Island this year and got the limit of 2 bottles apiece at 3 Newport shops. Sandy's was $5.99/bottle, not sure of the other 2.

I grabbed a 4 pack at Mom n Pops in Cromwell ($22!) and a single at Liquor World ($7). Supplies low at both.

Wasn't paying attention and got gouged for $10 bucks on a bottle at Ninety9 Bottles in Norwalk. Also kind of funny that the guy didn't know me so he assumed I was a truck chaser so he would only sell me one bottle. Thank god. Gotta say though, I'm pretty disappointed in Ninety9 Bottles gouging like that. I do a fair amount of business with them in Westport and Trumbull. Now I'm thinking twice...

Do you mean you think their price is too high? $6/per seems to be the going rate in CT this year. Visited a store in Milford as high as $7.99 each - which I passed on. The sales associate was literally apologizing about the price when he offered it to me.

I reached out to Maximum and they said the first two transactions in Farmington were rung up wrong, at $8.99. The actual price is $6.99. If you were rung up incorrectly, give them a call, or stop in for a refund.

Yes $24 per 4 pack when I bought it 3 times for $20 is too high.

Cromwell Square has it. 1 bottle per person $9.99. I passed.

Joe's in East Windsor, CT, had it yesterday 1pp at $7.99. Behind the counter, but they gave it to everyone who asked. Have no idea if they still have it.

That is probably the best price in the area. Another store in Norwalk has it for $10 a bottle with a two bottle limit.

I was pretty disappointed by this too :slight_frown: I ended up getting two but I haven't known 99 bottles to price gouge like this before.

Seriously? I know that sounds aggressive, but really, seriously? You don't care at all about price gouging? I understand free markets, but this market is being preyed upon. I get your humblebrag, you have the money, so who cares? Me too. But I still care, a lot.

Just saw a handful of bottles at 1776 Liquors in Bristol, RI. No limit, but 10 bucks a pop. Ouch.

I'll have a one fresh but otherwise I won't drink what I bought until at least 8 months form now. I still have enough from 2015 to satisfy the occasional urge.

I didn't find it to be hot, but everybody's different. Last years was difinitely hot and this years Sunday Morning Stout is hot too. I though the 2016 was very nice, but not mind blowing by any means.

Make a complaint to the state liquor commission.

Picked up two bottles at Valley Wines in Simsbury Friday afternoon. It was $6.99 a bottle, there was no posted limit, I got two and left about a dozen visible on the shelf.

There's a lot more important things to care about in the world than the price of a beer. End of the day the difference between $10 a bottle and $7 a bottle, when you are only buying one or two bottles isn't going to break anybody's wallet...if it is than you shouldn't be buying craft beer.

If a beer is priced more than I think it's worth I won't buy, simple enough. There's tons of good options that will stay affordable, the market will work itself out.

So yes, I don't care about price gauging. In a perfect world it would be the beer companies making the profit by putting out a good product, but it's unfortunately not a perfect world.
