Just picked up my lottery awarded KBS from Founders. Couldn't help but notice that the beer is up to 12.4% abv and now includes a label on the back. Not sure when I will crack one open, but I'm curious to hear about others opinions of this years release.

Hope there's a version for Ohio (12% limit)

I noticed Backwoods Bastard went from 10.2 and came in at 11.4 this year. Must be some hefty bourbon kicking them up over a whole %. Can't wait for this years.

There is. Well, at least a different label  Check out the "New to Ohio" forum

How was the bottle pickup process? I'm going Saturday and just know it will probably be a madhouse

The bottle pickup is quick and easy. The only thing that is going to be painful on Saturday is the line to get in Founders.

I was expecting a madhouse as well, but I think due to the online lottery system there wasn't one. I got into the line shortly after noon and was about 30th in line. Got in and out in about 12 minutes. The line forms outside the tap house and brewery store.

Really? I went last year for KBS week on the Saturday and had no problem getting into Founders. There was a line 10 or so deep to get my CBS on tap. It was busy, but I didn't think Founders was crazy. I've been there for concerts and other releases, and those were crazy with long lines and covers...
