KBS Bottle Release

Cbs!!!

 

Can anyone confirm if CBS will be on tap all day or is it just one time? I'm not in town yet!

 

Yay. Finally got one

 

And it's gone

 

Managed to get the second to last glass. It has some licorice flavor at the end after it's warmed up. Different than last year's.

 

Well that didn't last long . Imagine that CBS kicking shortly after being tapped.

 

CBS was amazing... I hear that this is the same batch from last year. That would explain the smaller amount.

 

Just spoke to one of the bartenders and he said that was the only tapping for today. He said that was one of the last few kegs they have.

 

In the back of the line (by the bottle pickup). What's the estimated wait time?

 

I'm in! One hour wait from just beyond the front of the bottle line!

 

No CBS tapping at 2:00. We'll see what happens at 4:00. The staff won't show their hands if you ask them. Line outside is still going around the side of the building. Line to pickup 4-packs is a much longer than last year.

 

At 1:30 I waited about 30 minutes to get my bottles.

 

The line hasn't improved at all as of 4 pm.

 

Took me about an hour and 30 to get in starting at 145pm. No sign of CBS round 2.

 

Seems that the bartender that I talked to was correct. Noon CBS tapping might be it for the day.

 

No CBS for me :/. I was disappointed but this tapping of KBS was easily the best I ever tasted. It was smooth but simple. I can't wait to open a bottle of this bad boy. I had 5 glasses at founders and had 2014/15/16. The 16 was the highlight of all three.

 

I waited 70 minutes to get in, arriving at 12:15 or so from Chicago. I missed CBS by maybe 15 minutes or so. Bartender told me no more today and only 2 kegs remaining. 1 or both will be at Black Party and that's it until the day they make more. He used the words "gone forever" but I'm too optimistic to believe that haha. Enjoyed the KBS vertical and drinking outside on a warmer day

 

I think this is the best KBS. It tasted the most complete of the 3 they had on tap. I am sad about the CBS. The fact that this beer is so sought after and they haven't brewed that much more baffles me. I waited for an hour to get in and enjoyed myself, but CBS was what I hoped for and I didn't get any.

I hope to try this beer in the future. This is my white whale. The one beer I have longed for the most but hopefully next year. Founders is a fantastic brewery. I met a Ton of different people today and so proud to introduce KBS to them. Great day and best beer event i have gone to.

 

2015 and 2016 are still on tap today,

 

there are only so many barrels available. the fact that they are able to make as much as they do surprises me.
