Info was briefly posted and then taken down. It was either $6.27 or $6.37 this year, I forget which. The info also said proceeds from ticket sales would go to the Grand Rapids Whitewater Initiative.

Went Thursday around lunch. Taproom was busy but found a seat. Non-existent wait for the bottle release. Founders knows how to do this the right way. Spread it out all week, let people come and go; nice work.

$1.27 fee gone from the accidental posting last week. The tickets are back down to $5.

Other than Thursday, does anyone recall CBS being on tap during the week last year? I'm shooting for Friday as the wife and I will be in town on business. Would be ideal.

I was there on Friday last year and CBS was on tap the entire afternoon and well into the evening.

CBS was flowing all day last year on a Wednesday. Hopefully the same this year as well.

If Cellar Raid is any indicator of CBS flowage for this year, I'm guessing it won't be on tap as frequently as last. Just a guess though...

I haven't had a chance to search for prior year threads about this - is there any day that tends to be harder to get tickets to? I was thinking Friday would be great for me, but figured a lot of people go for Friday or Saturday. I could do an earlier day in the week, but it would mean less fun because I'd have to drive back the same day.

In theory Friday and Saturday should be much harder as more people can go those days, but anecdotally that doesn't seem to have been the case the last few years. I wonder if Founder's simply allots more tickets to Friday/Saturday - anyone know?

No one should expect CBS to be nearly as abundant as last year. When it blows during cellar raid in under a half hour this year, vs last year it was on for about 2 weeks straight.

In my experience, during the weekdays the taproom is only half full and CBS was on all day. Can't speak to the evenings, although staff was telling me it would be on all week last year.

I know that whichever night is their usual mug club night goes fast. Apparently a large group of mug clubbers look to get their tix for that day so they can pick up KBS and hang out together. You'll notice that one of Tuesday through Thursday sells out before the other two days. That's the mug club day.

I think the max CBS was on during Cellar Raid was around 2 hours (tracking to based on posts), with the tapping at 12 on Saturday lasting a whopping 24 minutes (I was there).

Since this is the (presumably) the same batch, there is just less quantity and they only tapped it twice a day.

Not saying that is how KBS week will rollout, but it is not a good sign is that is what you are after.

For me I need to decide if I should try for tickets and drive there (1:15 each way) or just get a 4 pack for a still reasonable, but just higher than founders cost, but stay right here in town.

2 hours drive for me but it's worth it when gougers near me want 7.99 to 12.99 per bottle. Way less hassle and I get to use up a vacation day at work and hang with the wife for a change.
