Yeah and Archer Liquors has it but try are going to decide when to sell it. Really? Very lame. $10 bucks says it will be on a weekday around 2pm so they can get some business at a slow time. Lost my business for sure.

The guy at my shop said he had to turn people down because he wanted to give his regulars a chance at it first, which is great move. If I ran a shop, that'd be my policy: If you're only buying beer from me when the really special stuff comes out, that does nothing for my business.

Turning away people with cash in hand does nothing for your business.

No they are doing that so that those locals who visit the store often have a shot at it. They tend to release their limited releases around 7 on weekdays so that most of their regulars have a shot. Your post was lame and ignorant.

In this case I think that you are wrong. The KBS will sell in very little time. Showing regulars appreciation reinforces loyalty. Someone who is driving around looking for one or two bottles isn't going to buy anything else or come back again. Many times they're not even going to be in your area again until the next limited release.

even if the bottles were passed out for free, one bottle at a time, people would still be mad at it. how dare these stores try to sell limited product (in a potentially fair way) that virtually everyone wants.

disclaimer: i have this years KBS.

I would tell you about the things
    They put me through
The pain I've been subjected to
But the Lord himself would blush
The countless feasts laid at my feet
Forbidden fruits for me to eat
But I think your pulse would start to rush

Now I'm not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
    Try walking in my shoes
    Try walking in my shoes

    You'll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes

    Morality would frown upon
    Decency look down upon
The scapegoat fate's made of me
But I promise now, my judge and jurors
My intentions couldn't have been purer
My case is easy to see

I'm not looking for a clearer conscience
Peace of mind after what I've been through
And before we talk of any repentance
    Try walking in my shoes
    Try walking in my shoes

    You'll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes
    Try walking in my shoes

Now I'm not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
    Try walking in my shoes
    Try walking in my shoes

    You'll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes

    You'll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes

    So this happened:

Walked into a random mom and pop shop on my hunt. Looked around and miraculously spotted the KBS amongst the other Founders selections. "Oh man!" There was one complete 4-pack sitting on the shelf, last one it seemed. Each bottle had a price tag on it - 8.99. "Aww no!" Looked over at the cashier, who couldn't have been older than 21, hunched over the counter with his eyes an inch away from his smartphone, who was at that moment interrupted by an over-dressed thing in sweatpants and flip-flops on our first 60-degree day of the season. So I proceeded to peel the price tag all sly-like from 3 of 4 bottles, even making sure to smear off the glue for appearances sake. Browsed and grabbed two other six packs (GL Rye of the Tiger and Lagunitas Undercover Shutdown) and headed to the counter.

"All right, what do we have here?...10.99 (keys punched)..8.99 (keys punched)..11.99 (keys punched)...your total is 34-(sound faded out as I couldn't believe this was working). Quickly handed him my card, signed the slip as bottles were bagged, and I hit the door.

At least that's the story I'm telling to keep myself in denial after my wallet was just ***** at 11.99 a bottle.

Did they each buy it on the first trip through, or only 1 of them? If only 1, then why not buy separately?

I guess it is a good thing i am a faceless man. Buy my allotment, walk outside to change my face then go back in for more.

They each bought one on the initial pass. Then they came back 45 minutes later to try again.
