There are a few liquor stores that still have it on the shelves. Usually in inconvenient locations at over $20 a 4 pack.

 

and if you do miss or skip on kbs, bcs, get up on the CW variants. really good stuff and i'm still seeing it on the shelves at solid 11.99

 

Agreed. I'll probably be crucified for this, but I think this year's Peruvian Morning was better than this year's KBS.

 

True story and...Central Waters is a better value with quality that is at the same level as Founders.

 

Havent had this year KBS, but I think that the CW PM is a really serious contender when going head to head with KBS and its not an outrageous statement at all.

 

This very statement was what I heard a lot of people say at KBS Day.

 

My buddy refers to CW Bourbon Barrel Stout as "The Aldi Brand Bourbon County" and he's right on that one, too. Loooooove me some BCBS, but for less than half the price, the CW makes me nearly as happy.

 

I really dig PM, but it needs a touch more body. Is this year's KBS as thin as PM?

FYI, I just found some in the city, so it's definitely around already.

 

As of 4pm today, Woodman's Kenosha had KBS for $5.99 a bottle with a 2 bottle limit.

 

I have plenty of bottles I'd trade for more KBS. Searched for a few hours today and only got 2 bottles of KBS

 

Woodman's Carpentersville is $8.99 a bottle. Lame.

 

Yeah, I was a bit shocked at the price. Usually they are very reasonable.

 

Agreed as well! PM was amazing, and all this last weekend in WI I saw cases upon cases of it all over. So damn good. They got it right this batch.

Got the one I reserved at Algonquin Binny's via twitter for $6.29. A shade less than Black Note was. Stopped by Woodman's Carpentersville just for grins. Said it was going on sale at 4, so I killed 40 minutes getting groceries. Couldn't believe when it rang up for $8.99. At that point I had already been there almost an hour so I bit the bullet.

I thought the same thing after I had my first bottle of KBS on Thursday night. I've still got some PM, and I'm thinking of doing a blind tasting soon. The KBS does seem thinner than it should be.
