KBS in DC

    Thanks! Sounds like the Fairfax WF's is the way to go at this point.

    I'm not a huge fan of RFD, but would be willing to swing by if they still have it on by this weekend. I like both Rustico's, and figured there might be a good chance that one or both of them would have it.

    We're visiting the GF's great aunt in Front Royal. It's mostly going involve hanging out with relatives, eating and drinking, making polite conversation, etc. I don't mind, but it would be nice to make the most of the trip and hit a few beer joints as well (especially if my trip happens to coincide with the annual area KBS release). We'll be in the area through Monday.

    My "reward" is that after the weekend, we're going to drive to the Philly area, hang out at places like Capone's, TND and the SPTR for a bit, and maybe even find a CBS event (just missing the Founder's event weekend at Capone's - oh well.). That's on Monday, and then we're heading back down to Bawlmore to meet some friends, and of course spend some "quality time" over at Max's.

    Wish it were longer, but hope to make the most of our time while we're in NoVa.

    I know Rustico Ballston tapped it Tuesday, March 31st. So it is probably gone at this point. The bartender/ barista combo girl at WF Clarendon said they have a keg, but I don't when they are going to tap it. No announcement for anything this weekend.

    Lost Dog South Arlington will be tapping KBS april 15th as part of a Founders tap takeover.

    Another tangent, but holy crap, Lost Dog has Alpine Duet on tap. First time I have seen Alpine in Arlington. (1/5 of the way down long list is the tap list).

    Duet has been making its way around the DMV (well, not sure about the M part) for a few weeks now. I had it at the Pilsner Urquell event at WoB Ballston a couple weeks ago and then last week at Foster's Grille in Centreville, of all places. Its a great beer.

    Has anyone seen any KBS bottles left around the area? I managed to snag two bottles, but would really like to be able to round out a 4-pack if possible.

    DC bound Monday? (or even just closer to the beltway, Fairfax?) I work in Silver Spring, MD and would be up for bringing you a couple bottles. Front Royal is a bit of a haul for my lunch break though.

    I got four 4-packs for $92.00. Seemed fairly reasonable. I've seen 4 packs for $20, then i've seen it for $38.00.

    Then again, Pittsburgh has shitty bottle shops that charge $20 for a single bottle.

    Appreciate the offer, but was hoping to find it on tap. Have very limited suitcase space, and right now I think it's all earmarked for new Blushing Monk. Thanks though... really appreciate the thoughtful offer.

    If anyone is still looking, the Lost Dog in North Arlington (across from Westover) has bottles, $8, limit 1 per.

    Or I'd say show up to the Founder's tap takeover on 4/15 at Lost Dog South Arlington assuming they are going to indeed have KBS on tap (mentioned earlier in this thread).
