KBS in Houston?

Indian Springs HEB just emailed out that its 90% for Tuesday

And so it begins....

 

Smith Street Spec's has it now. I do not know how they are selling them.

 

They probably aren't. Got to have a shit show release annoucement and line up since it is omg KBS whalez bro!

 

Probably following standard protocol of holding for preferred customers and releasing the rest in a wk or 2 or on Black Friday.

 

Who are these preferred customers? I'm guessing they've probably already received it and they'll release it this Friday.

 

What about other specs locations?

 

Only the shadows know. I'm referring to the KBS fiasco when it was released in Houston for the 1st time a couple of years ago.

The line at Bunker Hill already has the lot of KBS sold. Wow.

 

Ashford Pub is having its 2nd Annual KBS and crawfish day April 25th. It will also be a founders tap takeover. Beers also being tapped will be Backwoods Bastard, Curmudgeon, Big Lucious, breakfast stout, and more.

 

All KBS that has been delivered and announced is sold out. Most places got only 2 cases. I don't know what Spec's downtown will do. Since Founders is distributed by Ben E. Keith there may be a lot more staggered deliveries. The distributor has gotten complaints for years about only delivering special releases to a select few stores in Houston. They seem to have altered that behavior over the last year.
Be aware that a lot of states received large shipments of KBS and customers were picking up three 4-packs at a time over the last week.

 

have yet to hear of any place in town not limiting this to 2 bottles per.

 

As usual the houston release is inferior to just about any other market. It sure seems like we get a lot of this stuff but it also seems that other markets get way too much.

 

Spec's on Smith St said they were putting it up Friday at 10.

 

Everyone makes fun of the line at smith but it's the only convenient way to get more than 2 bottles of a 4 pack
Of beer.

 

Standing in a line for 30-60 minutes in the morning for two 12oz beers doesn't sound convenient to me. I just went to the HEB by my work today and got 2 without any hassle.
