Ok so I know I am a couple weeks early but just making a thread for when KBS hits. I already have my three 4 packs but having tried the past 4 years, this is the best one. Wanting to get a couple more bottles to shelve. Cheers

It'll hit April 1 at any of the Liquor Barns, and I believe most anywhere else. Wasn't an issue getting two 4-packs last year, but this year, who knows.

This years batch is fantastic. Already down to 6 bottles left because I can't stop drinking it!

It doesn't surprises me that retailers have it. They were ready in packaging and getting on trucks 2 weeks ago. Already sold out in Michigan. April 1st will be a fun day!

I know April 1st is the official release date, but are there any stores that we know bottles are going for sale tomorrow? Liquor Barns for example, and do we know limits?

Ok the liquor barns are all crap shoot. In Lexington, the Hamburg is selling at 6 pm with a 4 pack limit. The richmond road doesn't have a time they are selling it. They said when they get it, it will go out and it is also a 4 pack limit. The Beaumont centre one said they don't think they are getting it till next week (HA) to which point I said, thats a lie and you guys will get it tomorrow. Shenanigans will have a limit but he doesn't know exactly. And The Beer Trappe is just mum.

If they're doing a 4 pack limit, that makes me think there's much more coming in than last year. Something like first 10 in line in Louisville got a 4 pack, then they started breaking them up.

Well Founders made a lot more. Talking to the bartender when I was up there for the release in early March, he made it seem like the production was doubled.

According to the local Founders rep, there is actually going to be less. He says they cannot make more since they only have 1 cave that they use for all of their barrel aged beers and as Founders expands their distribution footprint, that just means they have more markets to spread around the same amount of KBS.

Got the first 4 pack at LB Springhurst when they opened. Was going to hunt more but at $25 a 4 pack and the fact that this beer doesn't seem to age well at all I'll abstain. Happy Hunting!

That's a good price! Founders sold it at the brewery for 20. So a 2 dollar price up per bottle is pretty good.

Yeah, I was shocked. I seemed to remember last year being over $30?

I was able to score 3 4 packs and 1 single from around town. $6.99 for the single and $26 for the 4 packs. A couple places around town aren't selling until noon and Flannigan's is tapping a keg at 7pm this evening. About to test the 16 batch right now.
