Bro, you're the greatest. I saw this and my co-worker and I rushed over there and got the last two 4packs, or so we were told.

? Another LB told me tomorrow! I thought it was $20 last year. But I'm starting to think I might pass and buy some other beers that hit town recently and that are new to me.

I will have to dig out the photo I took back in 2010 at a Liquor Barn that had 4 or 5 unsold cases stacked up weeks after they went on sale. I think they were about $20 back then.

Ha. That's how it is with many beers that now are hard to get, but have been produced for some time now (GI Bourbon Stout is another). Though, it seems Hopslam is getting some reversal here. Where I lived in Missouri a few years ago, it would sell out in hours. But this year, I saw six packs still around close to a month after its release . $24 is also the price of Devil's Dancer, my least favorite Founders beer.

Both LB's I visited only received 2 cases. I remember in 2010 I was able to purchase a case from Whole Foods. This year there is a one bottle limit!

Liquor barn hurstbourne (spelling? I'm new to louisville) is out. St. Matthews will have a one bottle limit, I was told. Whole foods informed me single bottle as well, going on sale at 5.

Wow, that was quick. Looks like I'm gonna miss it again this year. Being almost 2 hours away sucks. It's an expensive drive to come up empty handed. Oh well look at it this way, I saved $24 on the beer and $30 on gas. Always the optimist.

No shit. The guy at the shop I buy from said he can remember when he'd get an entire pallet of KBS and it would just sit there on the floor and collect dust. It would take him all year to sell it.

Shenanigans in Lexington MIGHT get some on Friday:

Me: Did you guys get any KBS in?
Guy: No, our deliveries are on Friday so we might have some then.
    Me: Is there a limit?
    Guy: Probably.
    Me: What is it?
Guy: We might do one bottle per person.
    Me: One BOTTLE?!
Guy: Well, or, I don't know. Are they six packs?
    Me: Four.
Guy: We might do a four pack per person. Do they come in 22 oz. bottles?
    Me: No.
Guy: Yeah, a four pack per person.

I probably could have told him whatever I wanted and he would have gone along with it. I asked him price, too, and he had no clue. I doubt they'll even make the distributor's cut.

None for my store. "You didn't sell enough founders" was the answer. Guess having all the year round releases in the door of the cold box and case stacks of seasonals and having kegs on growler station consistently is not enough. iRep told me same number of packages as last year. Similar number of kegs except 1/4 bbl instead of 1/6.

I avoided all the big LB stores and managed 4 four packs for myself and some friends. Gotta know the honey holes.

I think thats the same guy that told me that nothing good came out this time of year. This was a few weeks ago, the thursday before they they got Alchemy Hour, Enjoy by and double crooked tree. i knew they were getting two of the three, so I didnt say anything, but you have to know something if you are the spokesperson for the store. He is the only one that I have met there that doesnt know beer.

It's just the way things are going now! More people drink good craft beer now than they did 5 years ago. Sorry to all of those who feel like their little secret has been released but its just how it is And it's prob just going to get worse! My advice would be to suck it up. And if you want the beer, then you need to be on the top of your game. It's just like any hot commodity these days!
