KBS in MA

I got 1 at CBC Westford yesterday for $5.75... Julio's called me and I have 2 w/ a hold card, not sure how much they are... And then I guess I have 2 $7.95 bottles waiting for me at McAloon's too.

Not the cheapest but I didn't really have to do any work.

 

Just to throw salt in the wounds of people who can't get it, some guy at my work randomly got a bottle of KBS and drainpoured half of it because it was "too strong".

 

woah!.. i mean i did that once when i had a 3-year vintage and the coffee was too bitter, so I drank up a bunch of my stock.. Turns out 3-years is a rough year, 5-years is mint, as in perfect, not flavor lol!

 

Salty Pig just tapped their keg. Not going to make it there myself this year, but hope others can enjoy.

In Vermont (no KBS in VT thread), I walk into my local 7-11 and find a case of KBS sitting on the shelf for $19.99 a four pack. Picked up two and the cashier says "wow, that stuff is expensive" and told her it's about the cost of four Buds at a bar and she just smiled (and so did I).

 

considered myself lucky to grab a 4 pack for $20. passed on $8 singles.

 

Picked up two four packs yesterday at 22 and 25 at desperate shops in Boston and Brookline. I'm trying to remember if that was the same going rate for bcbs last November.

I had one last night and forgot how great it is fresh after missing out on it completely last year.

 

Meant to say separate shops. Not so desperate for demand in this one!

Just left SP and KBS was still pouring; $13 for 10 oz. if I remember correctly. Expensive, sure ... You could get a full four-pack for less than price of two there. But I had a couple and they were absolutely delicious. Have a bottle on hold that I'm picking up tomorrow. Curious re: the difference

 

I had it their last year but I remember it being closer to May. Just give them a call

 

The guy who posted about wegman's, he actually wrote they will get a case in on Thursday and it is all spoken for. So it sounds like the beer manager may have had a list, and did not let one fellow get lucky, but I could be wrong.

 

Yardhouse in Dedham had pretty giant goblets of KBS for 8.95. 13 dollars for 10oz is crazy.

 

Any info on how much is left at the Yardhouse in Dedham, I'd consider heading there later today if it's gonna last?

 

Via FB, Redstones in Stoneham is releasing KBS tomorrow (Friday) at 4 pm. Two bottle limit.

 

No idea how much is left but it definitely didn't look like anyone besides me and 2 other people I was with were even ordering it when I was there last night. I'd be shocked if it was gone. Still shows it here:

I find this silly. If you are going to release it at a certain time wait until the majority of the people are off work

 

Some places released it at 11am. I would rather have 4pm.

 

I would too , but 6PM would be even better. What is another two hours?
