I totally agree with you. It's a tough situation. Someone will always be pissed. Hope you can get some man.

 

Hi Jlordi12, 4pm release is for a number of reasons most importantly, staffing. We have more people on hand to deal with the increased customer counts to offer patrons better customer service during that time. We have also been doing these releases for a few years now and 4pm vs. 5pm or 6pm seems to work out better for our store in particular...That being said I hope you land some, as we are expecting much more than years past.

Drinking KBS on tap at the Salty Pig right now. It's tremendous. There's about 15 people here and I am the only one drinking KBS. Maybe it will last awhile.

 

We'll be tapping it Saturday and Sunday for StoutFest at Armsby Abbey

 

Seeing that I won't be able to make it, Yankee Spirits and Chris Gasbarro's in Attleboro will be receiving their KBS today. Gasbarro's around 5pm. Yankee did not give me a time, but I'm assuming it'll be around that time.

 

Has anyone heard of anywhere else in Boston that has / will have this on tap?

 

i called in at 6, they said they tapped out.

 

Bummer, hope some folks here got to enjoy it. I'll be there tomorrow morning for donuts though!

 

FYI - Luke's in Rockland just tweeted a few minutes ago that they have KBS in...available in 4 packs or bottles.

And an earlier posted mentioned that it was on tap at Yard House in Dedham on Wednesday, I work in Dedham so ran over there on lunch and it was still available. $8 and change for ten ounce goblet. Lot of people there on lunch watching Red Sox pregame ceremony and a quick stroll around the bar and looks like I was only one having, so may still be available tonight!

Pembroke Center liquors got a case this morning. Selling single bottles, grabbed one for myself.

I definitely would have done the same no matter how desperate I am. That is just insane.

 

I have an interesting story to add to the KBS mix. I was down in the Boston waterfront area today at a restaurant watching the sox home opener. After a beer and some oysters I decided to head home before the Friday rushhour hit. As I was was walking away from the restaurant I saw a bottle shop I had never been in before and went in to grab some beers to have while I watched the end of the game at home. I walk in and to my surprise there is a four pack of KBS sitting with the founders! What a lucky find! (I think to myself these are usually limited to one or two bottles, and I can snag a 4 pack, and I didn't have to hunt for this! It's a home opener miracle) I go to check out, and the clerk comes from out back and goes "oh sorry dude, it's a bad joke, that's really just Breakfast Stout". Breakfast Stout in a KBS 4 pack. The 4 pack than gets placed back on the shelf to dupe the next beer geek. From the wings of victory to the jaws of defeat in a minute! This is my 2014 KBS story!! LOL

That sucks. I'm glad they told you before you bought it though. I can't think of a single reason they would do something like that. I wouldn't be back to that store if it were me.
