KBS In MA

It's usually the first week of April, every place is a bit different in terms of how it's released.

Sounds messy honestly.

 

Every year I tell myself how much of a waste of my time it is to track down a bottle of KBS and then I go through all the nonsense anyway - get a bottle - and really how glad I was to go through all the effort

 

Yeah, I guess I don't like KBS as much as the next person. It's certainly tasty but not (to me) worth that kind of hassle for 12oz.

It showed up on tap a bunch of places last year; probably a better bet if you don't want to compete with the truck chasers.

 

I'm the same way except im not glad at the end. Just gonna hope I run into a tap this year.

 

If I see any KBS on my usual liquor store trips I'll pick some up. Definitely not going to line up or go out of my way for it.

Worst case scenario I'm sure Sunset will get a keg.

 

Julio's had a sign yesterday that said "KBS release - March 30".

Rail Trail in Hudson is having a Founder's tap takeover (w/ KBS) on the 31st... so it will be in distro that last week of March.

 

I think it's fine. 50% to the list, 50% to the walk-ins. With their customer base and a limited amount of beer it seems, imo, the fair way to deal with it.

 

Looks like I'm recommending dinner @ Rail Trail to the wife on the 31st. . .

 

It will probably be pretty busy. KBS tapping at 7pm, they will have 2014 and 2015. No word on CBS, but I wouldn't be surprised.

 

^that sounds like it's worth a trip. Might head there right after work to get a seat.

 

The Beer Shop in East Longmeadow is holding a KBS release date on Sat. April 4th.

So I would assume the other outlets will get their KBS and release it this week...

Kinsale in Boston is having a "Founder's Brunch" on Sat 4/4 from 1-3pm. They'll have KBS, Backwoods Bastard ('13 & '14), and a bunch of others...

 

Anyone know if/when Table & Vine in West Springfield is releasing their KBS?

 

Its more of a when. You have to ask for it and keep an eye on the boards as it will pop up and be gone pretty quick. I was able to get a 4 pack last year for $24ish.

 

Do most retailers hold them until the weekend or has anyone seen weekday releases?

 

Julios is doing a release today, so at least some of them release on weekdays.

 

glad i traded for 2 a few weeks ago from someone in grand rapids. the KBS rat race is just too much in MA.
