Cool, we went to Kinsale last year for their Founders event and enjoyed it. Is there any more info online? Didn't see anything on their website. Thank you!

Salty Pig will most likely have a keg that they always tap during a weekend brunch. Much to mine and anyone who only works in Back Bay chagrin.

yeah, I noticed it wasn't on their website. I was there last Saturday before the Bruins game and they had posters up. I actually took a picture of the poster, but I can't share it here, evidently... Poster lists KBS, BB, Blushing Monk, Dark Penance, All-Day, Black Rye, Boy'l mayk'r, Oatmeal Stout Nitro, and Imperial Stout ('14)

I don't recall one of my friends who went last year saying it was too insane at 1 pm. I got there around 5ish I believe, and it had just kicked.

KBS kegs usually start appearing at random bars throughout the week(s).

@Justin42 and @Brian_Burke, I usually find most of the bars in the area do a much better job of posting these kind of updates on Facebook/Twitter than their websites. Most likely because anyone at the organization with access to the account can update Facebook/Twitter when something is tapped or an event is planned, while usually only one person -- if any -- is making changes to the website for a bar.

This is just a long way of saying they are promoting the event on their Facebook page.

The 1 p.m. tapping seems like a new thing. I think last year they tapped the kegs at 5 p.m. on Saturday. I was there about 5:30 seated at a table and had no trouble ordering it. Maybe I'm forgetting it as my memory seems slightly different than @AlcahueteJ, but I just checked my gmail, and it seems like that was the case...

Last year, Salty Pig tapped their keg on Wednesday, April 2 after work, which was much appreciated. They seem to be doing more of the weekend brunches lately though...

Yep, you're right. It was 5 pm. I must have arrived there later on. I actually remember it being dark out, so most likely after 7 pm.

Cool, thanks for the heads up and good point about social media postings vs website updates. So often that is the case... I kinda wish the tapping was later in the afternoon. Drinking 11.2% beer early in the afternoon does nothing for my weekend productivity! :-)
