KBS In MA

Vinnin tweeted out that they still have some bottles. Still one per at $6 and change.

 

If I recall from last year wasn't there some scuttlebutt (wtf is a scuttlebutt?) about Founder's directing more KBS to some market like Kentucky that they were just recently getting into? I don't know may have been hearsay nonsense, but could be why there seems to be more distributed to MA this year - optimizing distribution again.

 

I had one for the bigger stores tell me that they got 10 cases instead of 5 or less that they usually get. It was out on the shelf in four packs. Probably gone now, but if you pay attention to the boards, it wasn't difficult.

 

Any sightings south of Boston?

Trader Moes in Lee has bottles. $9 each. Pretty steep, but they've got plenty if you haven't had any luck finding any.

Any other bars going to have it on this weekend? So far I've seen mostly weekday tappings.

 

If you feel like driving a little north of the city I think tomorrow is going to be a big day for deliveries. Redstone in Stoneham was the biggest Founder's account per their distributor last year and they haven't released their allocation yet. Has to be dropping tomorrow.

 

Yankee Spirits Swansea had not received their allotment as of 11:30 this morning. I won't be back through the area anytime soon so locals should check in this afternoon or tomorrow for possible delivery. Good luck!

 

I just paid a good deal on a single bottle at a store that only received 4 bottles but I've never been able to score one so C'est La Vie.

 

They did, however, have a 4-pack of the new Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout left and I snatched that up and will be able to do a vertical tasting tonight to compare. \m/

 

Ball Square just announced they're selling 4 packs for $24.

This appears to be WAY easier to get than the last few years. I don't remember very many stores selling four packs last year.

 

Picked up the 1 bottle limit at Vinnin yesterday and the 2 bottle limit at Quality today. Should be enough for me this year.

 

Friday. I'm pretty sure Yankee's accounted for. Gasbarros probably isn't.

 

Think they might split between Andover and Stoneham? I don't know how the Andover location's doing, but it'd be a good way to get it some more recognition.

 

They had tweeted earlier in the week that they wouldn't be releasing it until both stores got their allocation. I would assume Stoneham got theirs on Monday when Rapid liquors did (they are usually on the same delivery schedule) and that Andover would receive their delivery today which is their usual delivery day.

 

^I'm keeping an eye on their twitter feed. If it drops tomorrow I might head over after work (noonish)
