From Redstones Facebook page: Start lining up now

Founders KBS will be released at 5pm Tonight. Only 24 btls available and one per customer (in the interest of supply vs. demand we ask that you please help spread the wealth by not bringing brothers, sisters, girlfriend, boyfriends, grandmothers, pets, etc. to grab you an extra bottle...It not only puts us in a tough spot it also isn't fair to the person who is trying just as hard to get their hands on some) Thanks for understanding.

If you havent had the beer yet then you should try it first before wasting more time and money on getting more. It's funny watching people getting so bent out of shape about a beer they never had before

That's exactly what confounds me. A "shitty little store with very little craft selection" in CT that carries Founders but probably hardly sells any was able to get a case of KBS. Meanwhile, great stores with great craft selection in MA that carry the full Founders line (but apparently don't sell "enough") weren't able to get a drop of the stuff

I got my 2 bottles...I'm not attempting to get any more. And how am I bent out of shape? I'm genuinely curious about the amount distributed to MA vis-a-vis other New England states. Purely based of what I've read on here it seems like, proportionately, MA got much less than others.

What some people seem to be overlooking is the fact that Founders has been in MA for several years now...but only in the last year or two have they expanded distribution to the other New England states...and when they have entered a new market, Founders has flooded said market with their specialty releases....much to the chagrin of many folks who have been supporting the brand for years in an already established market...

I'm not trying to single you out at all, just merely responding to your point re: little store in CT vs. "great stores" in MA...new markets = more allocation....which is apparently where all of the expanded production is headed this year, hence why MA didn't seem to see any fruits of said expansion....I recall some folks up in VT last year just stumbling upon cases and cases of KBS without really knowing what it was at the time...while the same fracas ensued down here...

I will be very curious to see how much KBS NH ends up getting since that is one of the newer markets Founders has expanded distro in to...

You sound bent out of shape based on your amount of curiosity.

I was surprised to hear how little Maine got since they just started receiving Founder's products. If I was Founders, I would try and saturate new markets as opposed to older, more loyal ones. I'm sure that might leave a sour taste in some BAs mouth, but I'm sure if they dropped off 200 cases of their next limited release all would be forgotten. Founders is a business, not your best friend.

A lot of them probably were. But I can't imagine anyone is going to win a nobel prize figuring out KBS distribution.

Still available at JM Curley's. Just had one with lunch. (Not to be confused with Lunch, which they also have.)

I guess they're using it as bait for new customers. If that's their strategy then so be it. But from a business standpoint, wouldn't it make sense to try to satisfy more customers than fewer and inspire more brand loyalty (although craft drinkers are notoriously disloyal)? From that perspective I would think they would try to allocate their limited stuff based on prospective demand. And they've been in MA for awhile so they obviously have a pretty good idea about the demand here.

But hey, maybe I'm just a bleeding heart communist
