KBS in MA

Any idea what time Whole Foods put stuff on the shelves? Never been there before...I'd like to go in the morning, but don't want to waste my time if it won't be out

 

Do you think it would be worthwhile to follow around a Craft Distributors truck to see where they are dropping the KBS off and then beg the beer manager to sell me a bottle?

 

Don't know, sorry. The girl was stocking wine, seemed super nice and also seemed like she knew what KBS was, so I would give a call and see if you can talk to someone in the beer/wine department.

 

The new DIPL (ABCs) is solid too. Not as good as Kiwi but pretty damn tasty.

 

No. This is never worth anyone's time, particularly for KBS. KBS is good, but it is not worth more than a lunch time excursion, at least not for me. With BA Framminghammer on the shelves, this is especially true.

 

This was posted on Charles St. Liquors Facebook page a few minutes ago:

"So, hey....We didn't sell enough regular Founders beer to be allocated any KBS this year....So, going forward, please please PLEASE support the brand throughout the year, and you'll have a shot at the rare releases next time around!"

No joke, my gf bought that for me yesterday and was all excited to show me. When i told her it was the wrong thing, she got all kinds of pissed off at me

Just called around a few places and was met with no, no, and no. Funny that a store I was in Friday told me they weren't getting any, then I called today and they said they got a case and sold out. Solid bit of misleading information right there. Another store I talked to said only the top 30 accounts got it. Looks like downtown Boston got pretty fucked

 

Martignettis gave me the rope a.dope yesterday. brookline liquor mart has a little.left. blanchards allston hasnt gotten it yet but theres a list. Good luck on your search elsewhere in the city.

 

Blanchard's hasn't gotten it yet? I called right after work today at 4pm and they said it was already sold out. Either the person on the phone got it wrong or someone's spreading misinformation

 

100 cases? Where'd that figure come from?

Per CBG, no one was getting more than 1 case, and it was limited to top accounts in the state. Perhaps other distributors treated it differently.

 

To the dude who got to the people working at Brookline Liquor Mart literally seconds before I did, and had dibs on the last two bottles, I salute your generosity in splitting the two bottles with me.

Yeah that does suck. While you were keeping in touch with him, had he told you anything about what your allotment of KBS was going to be this year?

 

Whole Foods in Dedham had about half a case left about 30 minutes ago. 1 per customer and you have to ask for it.
