KBS in MA

    I had a quick chance to get in on this last night. Missed the last 2 bottles by a half an hour. Oh well. That's about the most I care to hunt.

    The BBA Framinghammer is very good...but it isn't KBS. That being said, for the average BA....spend the $6/btl and just have the local goodness. And I say that as a former Ohio/Michigan resident who reveres Founders.

    I'm waiting for my local (Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont) to release their amount. As jtdolla911 said, they are releasing half the amount to a list and the other half for sale this Saturday. I'm on the list, don't know where, but I'm hoping I make the cut since I will be out of town on the weekend and miss the public sale. They tweeted the list is 3 pages long. Hoping I'm in that top 24 of list for what I expect to be a 1 bottle limit.

    I think its more of a lottery than a list. You should also check out Bermans on Mass ave in Lex.

    Well, it releases in April, but given the MA lag time, we should see it in June/July. Sucaba came in decent quantities, but FW16 came with almost nothing this year, so who knows what we're going to get. Just like KBS at this point, I expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised if it comes in numbers that don't require stalking stores...

    Just more "so I was told" info FWIW....I've been told that the 100 case number earlier in this thread might be too high. Only one pallet came in which would likely be 60-70 cases and I was told by a top 5 Founders account that he was only getting one case so it does look extremely thin out there.

    Correct, 80 cases. Still better than Maine, they only got 40!

    Andover liquors got a shipment of only 8 bottles and they all were already accounted for with their hold list.

    Just got off the phone with Martys in Newton, they only get deliveries on Weds and theyre not getting it today. I guess theyre getting it next week.

    You replied to the wrong person, but yea...80 cases for 6.5+ million people ain't much. That's only 1,920 bottles. And it seems like Boston only got a small percentage of those 80 cases. My local place isn't even getting any (and they get everything), although I should probably check since I've already been lied to once.

    From what I heard this morning Parabola numbers will be similar to XVI in MA. Not encouraging.
