Guess I better call out the rest of the week and get over there. Think I have time to get any camping equipment before #24 shows up?

When they had their Westv XII release people were waiting outside starting at just after 7 and that was a weekday in the fall. I would expect something a bit worse with a weekend sale and good weather, but with a lot longer shot since it's only 24 bottles. Then you have to wait the 3+ hours until they open. Never waited that long for any beer and won't this time as I'll be out of state. Good luck to anyone who gives it a shot.

Getting up early on a saturday morning and waiting in line for hours for a chance to purchase 12 ounces of beer is ridiculous. What a pain in the ass this whole KBS thing is for both customers and beer stores. Founders can't keep their customers happy in states that have been good customers for years and their solution is to spread the product even thinner by sending beer to more states?

I can't even fathom waiting in line to buy a bottle of beer. Making a couple phone calls and maybe getting lucky is about all I'm good for

It does seem a bit ridiculous. I assume they sent some to their newest distro areas which sucks because my local store couldn't get any "because they didn't sell enough this year" (which I find hard to believe). I know that decision lies with the distributor, but it's a decision they had to make because Founders sent so little. It's kinda shitty if they short-changed us so they could send some into a new market.

Does really Founders owe "us" anything?

Well, considering that I bought a case each of FBS and FIS, I'd say someone owes me at least the opportunity at a case of KBS

I can and have, but although KBS is fabulous...I wouldn't do it for a chance at 12 oz of it. You could make your life easier by driving to ME and picking up some stuff that is easier to get and trading....

I wouldn't say they owe us anything. but spreading KBS this thin is kind of silly. There are stores that received 1 4pk. Founders typically says something like they want everyone to get a chance to try KBS. Well...I'm done trying KBS, I wanna friggin' drink it!

I heard MA only got 60 cases total. Gordon's in Watertown received one case (I received one bottle from it).

It's not a question of being "owed" anything. It's their product and they can do what they want. It's just a shitty deal to shortchange people that have been buying your products and supporting your company so you can send your "best" product to new markets that haven't yet contributed to your growth. I don't know that they've done this, but if they did its kinda shitty. What's the point even sending any if most stores can't even get it, and many stores are getting less than a case?

Caporale's in Wakefield received some, but sold it yesterday. Rapid Liquors in Wakefield received 12 bottles, has a list, but doesn't seem to know what they're going to do with the list yet (seems they are not just giving it to the top people on the list). Guy from Rapid tells me that only top 3 accounts in the state got a case. If CBC got 2 cases and Gordon's on Main in Waltham got a case (which I know)...and Gordon's in Watertown got a case. That info seems bad...but it is what we get told...lol.
