KBS in Milwaukee?

    I know the Germantown Sendicks will have it at on sale at 5pm tomorrow but that doesn't really help me or anyone in MKE unless there gonna drive to Germantown for what will likely be one bottle.

    Someone mentioned Ottos on Oakland was selling theirs at 9 AM Sat but that might just be a rumor.

    1 bottle left behind the register at Woodman's Menomonee Falls. $5.99. If they are hiding more, it would probably be 1/person which is what I was told.

    This is consistent with how they have done limited releases in the past. First come, first serve.

    I thought I heard the 15th? Would like a concrete date so I can wake up early to secure a whopping single bottle. :stuck_out_tongue:

    The 15th is a Monday. As far as I know every limited release from Otto's Oakland has been done on a Saturday. That said, I have no official knowledge of what they are doing.

    Yeah, I hadn't bothered to actually look at what day of the week the 15th is, heh. They actually confirmed on Facebook that all their locations will be selling it Saturday morning at 9 also. First come first serve, didn't mention a limit so I'll assume it's the same 1/customer as last year.

    Interesting that they have organized the release across locations. That's a first from what can I recall. There are a few Otto's locations that have historically gotten KBS, where it didn't get picked over too quickly. (Elm Grove and Milwaukee Oakland are not in that camp, however.)

    Otto's on Oakland still had quite a bit when I stopped in this morning around 10:30.

    Yeah, I left my apartment and got there around 1:30 or so, picked up my bottle (along with a Peruvian Morning 4pk because I cannot help myself), looked to be around 6 bottles left on the counter afterwards.

    I got some KBS from Otto's and had one tonight followed by a CW PM. Needless to say, the KBS was overwhelmingly better than the PM, and the PM was a good beer (which says a lot about the KBS). Enjoy the KBS my fellow BAs, it was worth the search!

    In my opinion, I agree that KBS is better than Peruvian Morning. After having a KBS last night, however, I immediately thought about picking up some more PM. The difference in enjoyment b/w the two beers is far smaller than the difference in price and availability. Hopefully PM is easily available, infection-free, and cheap for years to come!

    Hah, Just noticed this thread post. We had over half a case on Sunday at Ottos on Oakland.... Got 4 cases of it. Hopefully everyone got some on the east side.
