KBS in NC

Called around and sounds like Total Wine North Hills, Cary, and Brier Creek received it. I missed out on it. I would love to get my hand on a bottle or two if there is any other places receiving it.

 

KBS is at Duckworth's
Black Note is already gone

 

Sorry - they got 2 cases. Likely out by now. Was told one per person.

 

City Bev. has a 1 bottle limit. $6.00.

 

Black Note that is.

 

I was told only TW in North Hills had Black Note. Very little distribution in Raleigh.

I'm sorry, I can't help it. It is very lame to call/email a brewery and complain about what "you" deem to be a late release, etc. Continual out of date beer, maybe not carrying enough skus, I understand. As you now know- I hope- there's more to all of this than you think. Having any level of pride and/or humor about bitching about the release of a single item when these guys are working year-round to bring us all great beers strikes me as very small indeed. Rethink all of this and count your lucky stars that a number of people in this state saw the future just ahead of us many yaers ago. Cheers.

 

Did anybody go to Whole Foods in Chapel Hill and get any? If so when and how much? Just curious.

Not quite yet - I know one store that is getting it today (at least that is what the guy at the store said yesterday)

 

There is a store in Knightdale called East Wake Wines that claims they are getting it today.

 

I came back yesterday to eat my crow and give you credit. I just relayed what Tryon rep gave me (on multiple occasions). I asked him about it again yesterday when I got a bottle and he said it was a surprise to him because they had been told a few months ago to not count on it.

I can't argue that it was misinformation because it turned out to be incorrect, but don't think it was ill-intentioned. What could I possibly gain from that?

There has been a lot of vitriol in this thread. I don't think anyone is sharing information on here to be misleading. There are a lot of us that would like to have KBS and/or Black Note and unfortunately there isn't a lot around, causing some folks to reach out for answers and take guesses (educated or not). It would be nice if there was some way to organize a massive tasting to appease the masses (all of us).

Both KBS and Black note are pretty much gone in the Triangle.

 

Bruisin' Ales had it today for sale in Asheville. Pretty sure it was a 3 bottle limit.

 

Anyone in Raleigh who missed out on KBS and has some Black Note, I am willing to do 1:2 Black Note for 1 KBS, 1 2-week old Heady, will do multiples.

 

I just picked up some Black Note at Bruisin Ales in Asheville
