POST ALL KBS SIGHTING HERE
I like this thread
I know where it's going to be tomorrow.
So share, what is the point to post "I know where"
Not NH, but York River Landing is tapping a keg tomorrow at Noon.
Found some in Goffstown sully's
The Beer Store in Nashua has 4 packs 1pp tomorrow at noon as well
They sold out about 30 minutes ago.
Whole Foods in Nashua has some. They're breaking up 4pks and selling 1pp ($5.99). They are holding it behind the cheese counter. You have to ask for it.
J Bartlett's is in Whole Foods so grab a pour or a flight after
Confirmed at Whole Foods Nashua. 1pp. No signs anywhere. Gotta ask at the cheese counter
They have at CoOp in Hanover, Lebanon and WRJ. As well as Crowler Pit in WRJ.
Brewtopia in Keene is sold out but might score some more on Wednesday.
There will be a second wave of KBS at some stores in NH. Keep your eyes peeled on social media.
Aside from the where is it, I am shocked to see how many people are taking absolute dumps on this years bottles. Specifically people calling it out as super thin and hardly and Bourbon flavor. Is this the case?
Per usual, I've seen people saying it's drinking perfect out of the gate and a big improvement from past years and some saying it's the worst batch they've ever made.
Don't trust individual people's palate memory. Humans aren't good at it, so even in aggregate the data is biased.
As with all beers, lower your individual expectations, open it up in a relaxed and fun environment, and you'll do okay with it.
I haven't had it before this year but I can't conceive of anyone considering it super thin. There's a little dryness at the finish which might-maybe-could lend to the perception of it being a little thinner than it actually is. But that's really reaching.
The bourbon, however, is definitely not up in your face, especially in the nose, but, for me, that's a good thing. Again, I'd never had it before, so I can't compare it to prior years, but I suppose I can see that as a legitimate complaint.
See my review from yesterday. Obviously, I liked it a lot.
Got it, I plan to try it if I can find it here on the Seascoast asap.
Personally, I thought this was the best year since 2013. Ive been pretty disappointed the last 3 years to the point where I almost didnt seek any out this year, but I am glad I did.
But yah, palates are super subjective so only way to find out if its good is try it yourself.
Hannaford supermarket in Keene. I was there today.
No way. Big ass bourbon effect. Not the most complex version, but I was impressed with the bourbon.
How much was it at Hannaford? Any left?
Just got back. They have at least 6 4 packs left. $17.99
There are two whole shelves of them, just sitting there on a display at the end of the beer aisle. No one's even looking at them.
I feel like such a tool for being excited to get two bottles on release day. I'm not sure if I'm even supposed to like them anymore if I don't have to break my ass to get them.
I know! Too easy.
Hannaford got hooked up. Even a local market got 7 cases. I remember a couple years ago stores were lucky to get 2+ cases
Interesting, most stores that were able to get any at all here in CT. received 1 case.
Hopefully will be heading out to VT in the upcoming weeks. Can bring some KBS and maybe work something out. Let me know. Cheers, Nick.
saw a 3 case stack of it yesterday at the Co-op in Keene, $23.99, did not see a limit. Also saw some last week at the Country Mile in Greenville, they are likely out by now.
It's the same in Maine. Last year and this year the Hannafords have a lot of it just sitting there. Last year it was over a month before it was all gone.
The KBS display is still up at Hannafords in Keene. Two shelves, fully stocked when I went grocery shopping at noon.
Just tapped at Cask & Vine.
Have '15, '16, and '17 on tap at the Nashua Garden right now, plus bottles.... Parabola from '15 too....
STILL have some '15, '16, 17 on tap and bottles of '14.... at the Nashua Garden.... today....
