One of my local places is selling each 12 oz. bottle for 9.99. No thanks.

Haven't they been open like 2 years or less? It's not like they've had it the last 10.

Was this years KBS aged in rubbing alcohol? Getting a really unpleasant grain alcohol burn from this batch.

Either way, there are so many cheaper (and better) alternatives these days, that even without limits on the 4-packs and/or bombers, I had no problem walking out empty handed.

Like I said, I left them for those who want to spend the loot on overpriced, mediocre beer.

    Cheers to y'all!

Speaking of price, what are people paying in NJ? I'm seeing posts from other states for $22/4, and I don't think we'll see that in NJ.

I went to a few places and grabbed a 12 for $8.99. Not cheap, but that's fine...I wanted to get my hands on at least one and then I'd look for some better prices if I had the time. I had gone to about 4-5 places at this point, so I was happy to pay $9 and then hopefully score some cheaper bottles later. This same place was charging $28.99 for a 750, which I easily passed on.

They have been in the same shopping center about 4 years. But they have been in two address within the same center. Not sure I understand your point.

Picked up a few bottles today and just opened one. Definitely not getting any of that. It's a little hot but I'm really enjoying it. $7.50/12oz bottle.

What store did you leave them for everyone at? I got a 4pk and a bomber which is good by me but I'm sure plenty of people will gladly pick them up.

That's not Founders, that's the store. I paid $6 a bottle here in NYC.

Think the 4 pk i got in nj was $25... works for me... kbs is big bad baptist level.. probably prefer big bad baptist to kbs but it's nice to have 12oz bottles over a 22oz bomber.. don't know why they decided to put it in large format this year

Thanks. Park Beverage in Scotch Plains had it listed yesterday on Beer Menus, but I went in, and they said Wed or Thur. Very annoyed they posted when they didn't have it yet.

Haha well, you can cross Super Buyrite on 22 off the list. While I've been debating paying that $9.99 price tag, they've already taken it off BeerMenus. Oh well!

They still had it at 3:00. I noticed they took it off BeerMenus, but decided to go anyways. One 12oz bottle limit. Stew Leonards on 22 in Springfield has 12oz for $7.99, 2 bottle limit; or 1 750 bottle, didn't ask the price, just went with 12oz.

I called Total Wine, they said probably Thursday. I got 3 bottles, that's all I need. Like others said, there are so many great aged stouts now, it's not worth more than minimal effort.

Yeah I thought about going anyway too but then just...didn't. Strange but I'd rather pay $24 that some people were mentioning for a 4 pack than $9.99 for one. Then again, if I had already been in the store anyway, yeah I'd probably just pay it.
