I may be mistaken but I seem to remember similar thing with BCBS release and beer from previous year, not current year.

Yea that's true with the BCBS and BCBW this year at some places, I don't think it was intentional. I called and Ted said no they are 2015, but the bottle date is pretty clear and I was told the 2015 actually has the year on the label.

Best Yet in Harlem had bottles as of a couple of hours ago. $5.99 a bottle, one per person.

Mine too... and I have a 2015 to compare it to. Definitely 2014.

Interesting. I picked up a few bottles dated 3/23/14 a few months ago that were randomly distributed to a few places. I actually drank one of them last night. Aged ok, chocolate really came forward while coffee faded

From talking to someone who runs a bottle shop, SKI had a cache of 2014 cases they didn't distribute last year, and this year they were offloading them on vendors. The shop I went to was differentiating between the two, but I could easily see other vendors lumping them together. Honestly, I'd contact the store and complain - you paid for what you were expecting to be a 2015 vintage only to get a product you didn't intend to pay for. Pretty shitty.

I know of 3 stores on Long Island that got '14 cases instead of this year. None were too happy about it.

I'm pretty sure I saw an unopened case of 2014 KBS when I was in Top Hops a few weeks ago. They were organizing the back and there were boxes of whales everywhere. I bet that one got mixed in with the 2015 somehow

Crap, this worries me. I'll have to look at mine when I get home. If I do have '15s, I can probably swap for '14 with you.

Alright dude thanks. I sent Top Hops a message, hoping that maybe they kept some bottles in their cellar to hold onto. I called when I got back and noticed the date on them, but they just were like "no we only sold 2015 bottles," and clearly bottles marked 3/23/2014 are not 2015.

Wow, my bottles from Top Hops are all from 2014, same with all the people I've checked in with, 8 bottles in total. I don't think it was a mix-up as my bottles were purchased slightly after 8 when they started selling them, the others were purchased closer to 10.

    Any update from Top Hops?

You can tell they are from 2014 by the bottle date, 2015 has the year on the label, 2014 does not. The labels are also sized differently with different font sizes. The upper label of the 2014 bottles are peeling off as well.

Prospect Heights Beer Works has 5 bottles of KBS left.

Award for the biggest KBS contingency goes to a places in Williamsburg, forget the name, but you get to buy one bottle of KBS with the purchase of a four pack of Breakfast Stout, two bottles of KBS if you buy two four packs of Breakfast Stout etc.

Looks like everyone who had KBS for sale in the area had to buy additional cases from Founders/distributor. Whole Foods had tons of Breakfast stout for 10.49 or 10.99 for a 4 pack, I don't think that is the usual price so they must be trying to unload it.

I'm following up with Top Hops about my bottles, anyone heard anything yet?
