KBS in NYC?

They still had some at Best Yet Harlem on Monday.

 

Jays Elbow Room on RT 73 in Maple Shade is having a Founders tap takeover on Friday at 5pm. Both KBS and CBS will be part of the lineup. Cheers!

FYI, the grocery store at 11th Street and 5th Avenue in Brooklyn has bottle for 6 each. Oh, and high westified for 5.

 

Wow. Last year they were charging $45 for a 4, and told me he'd hold it for me (like a favor, or something, I guess) and I thought that was insane. I wanted to be like 'I've already got 2 4-packs for $25 at two different places' but I didn't have the heart to do it, so I declined. I've said it before, the guy is a nice guy, but the prices are freaking outrageous.

 

If anyone is still interested theres a store in the bronx that has bottles for $9.99, no limit. I was there three weeks ago and the same ten or so bottles were still there today, nobody knows about this place I guess but they have a decent selection. BCBS has been sitting on the shelf for over a year now as well. Garden Gourmet on 233rd and broadway.

Blind Tiger is hosting a huge Founders event on Wednesday, including KBS and CBS. Anyone with an inside scoop know if they are tapping all lines at 3 (when the event is called for)?

Sorry, list that I posted was from last year.

 

I liked it when they didn't announce the CBS on their published tap list (was that 2013?) - made the event a lot more chill (relatively speaking)

 

To you or others who went in years past - did they tap everything early? Only asking because the only way I can go is if I get there at 3, but I'd definitely be going for a quick CBS before running out. Still chasing the dragon after watching my 2011 bottle smash all over my kitchen floor.

 

The first time I went CBS was announced in advance. I went at 3pm, but they didn't tap the CBS till later (5pm I believe). Lasted less than 15 mins.

The second time CBS wasn't announced in advance. I didn't get there till after 5pm, so I'm afraid I don't know what time they tapped it. That time it lasted for a couple more hours after I arrived.

 

Probably going to get to Blind Tiger around 2:30, if I can. Let me know (PM is fine) if you plan on going on the early side, as I'll likely be flying solo and would be happy to have a round with another BA.

 

Is that to me or @bgold86 ? Can't make it I'm afraid dude - but enjoy that CBS!

Man, am totally missing this, once 5 hits it's going to get freakin packed..

 

Yeah, they're only doing 6 oz pours, but I'm on #3 without any drama. Still open tables. Plus, half the people here have no idea what CBS is (English tourists).
