Not any more. Thanks buddy I owe you one. I got the last bottle.
That's an interesting place. Very wine centric. They we're having a wine tasting but the guy working was very pleasant. (Not like the guy in the CT KBS thread)!

    Doubt it's still there today.

Park Square wine and spirits definitely has some. 10 bucks a bottle, single bottle limit and the person that worked there opened up the case yesterday.

I was able to get some at Yankee on Saturday around 10am. I'm not sure if they still have any.

I was also a sucker and got two bottles at Gasbarros for $10 each.

Park square wine and spirits is all out, and they seemed pretty pissed to have to sell me my single bottle. Seriously, marking it up $3-4, they should be happy we're all big enough suckers to buy it, I could do without the attitude considering how often I'm at that store.

I'm curious, what did they do/say?

I can't help but feel the lost KBS from the what are you drinking now thread is karma for my complaint. It's also going to sound funny retelling because it was mostly about tone, but anyway-

I looked around the store including at the beer and also grabbed a bottle of rot-gut vodka to store my tiny bourbon barrel with. At the register I asked if she happened to know if they had any Founders KBS. She said "Yes," and stared at me blankly for 1-2 seconds. I said, "Um, do you know where it is? I didn't see it." She said, scoffingly, "Well it's one bottle per person," and stared at me blankly again. I asked if I could buy one bottle and she didn't say anything, she just walked behind the counter and got it.

I was also kind of miffed because there were periods of time that I lived in the area where I'd go to that store so often that they'd recognize me and I'd talk to them, including the cashier I had, so I thought it was weird that she'd be borderline rude to me about the KBS.

I didn't even recognize that you were the same BA that dropped the KBS in the WBAYDN thread.

The cashiers tone blows. I would have been put off too. It's frustrating when store staff take an attitude like that. I get it, I wouldn't be that happy if that was my gig too, but it's still frustrating.

So I'm picking up some more BCBS today, and I ask about BCBBW, which was around a few weeks ago but I can't find anymore, and the nice guy behind the counter roots around and pulls up a Backyard Rye, and says he's got no BCBBW but has this. I thought he was joking - needless to say I bought it. Then he asks if I got any KBS and asks if I want some. $5. So, I left with 2x4 packs BCBS, 1 Backyard Rye, 1 KBS and 1 FW DDBA. This guy made my day! And then I had KBS on tap for lunch. Life can only go downhill from here, right?

It will start going downhill once the Backyard Rye hits your tongue. :grimacing: Congrats on the nice score!

Wow, purchasing KBS and Backyard Rye during the same transaction must be quite rare.

Funny, I went to get my one bottle of KBS at the A&P in Old Lyme and what do they have sitting on the shelf? One bottle of Backyard Rye, which I bought of course. I'm guessing that they put it out specifically because people would be coming in for KBS.

I was in RI last weekend and managed a single bottle of KBS at three separate stores. Price ranged from $5-7 which I hear is pretty cheap. Anybody know if there's still any BCBS/variants around in the area? After having one bottle of KBS, I honestly prefer BCBS, and it's variants that I've had (BCBW and BCBCS) are better than KBS!

Good luck with BCBCS, but I think there must be a number of stores with BCBW around. Haxton's Kent Liquors in Warwick has around a case of BCBW left @ $22.99/4-pack. And around 6-8 cases of BCBS for $20.99/4-pack.

Wyoming Liquor in Richmond/Wyoming had BCBS last time I was in.
