What's the word on when KBS will hit Indiana? I talked with a beer buyer at a local store in Indy last week and he said this week or next week. Any sightings? Any thoughts?

A bunch of Indy Meijers put it out yesterday. Some Crowns will be releasing Saturday morning.

Chesterton, IN: Pat's Liquor got a ton of cases today. I only got a 750 and 12oz. They're so over priced, $20 for a 750, $6 for 12 oz., but I picked up a couple.
My town (Valparaiso) gets shipments tomorrow.

Over priced? Nah! Just typical Porter County pricing. Triangle and Trail should be a hoot! I think they were around $28 a four pack last year and made you buy another Founders product if I'm not mistaken? Happy hunting tomorrow!

Lucas the owner told me yesterday Triangle is getting 8 cases of 750s and 12oz. Should be easy to come by.

I'll be interested to hear at what cost? They have a monopoly on the craft scene in Valpo and aren't shy about it. I do most of my shopping in bordering states now because I've grown tired of the reinbeer games around here. Cheers.....

He did tell me there would be a 50-60 cent increase in each 12 oz bottle price compared to LY. I hear you tho.

Believe me, it's not just KBS pricing I'm talking about. Anything deemed 'rare' where they get a case or less is fair game. Distribution here is a part of the problem as well. It's a two headed monster! The lack of competition keeps things inflated.

Triangle had cases and cases stacked. 4-packs: $24.99, 750: $21.99. I bought one 4-pack and that was enough. I spent over $50 the past two days on KBS and got 5 beers and a 750. As I get older I appreciate the Lagunitas of the world (value) over just getting anything at any cost.

Yeah, I saw them for $22 today. I know it costs more in other parts of the country, but $20+ for 2+ beers is enough. Better off leaving the 750's on the shelf: 12 oz. is $6 (50 cents per oz.) and a 750ml is $22 (87 cents per oz.).

That's reasonable as their prices go for a limited release. Perhaps the 'cases and cases' aspect removed the 'rare' from the equation this time? I hear ya about the Lagunita's value, just wish they shipped more than one or two cases of High West around here. It was a chore trying to assemble a six pack that ended up costing more than twice what other markets were paying. Cheers to the fruits of your labor!

Overpriced? Uh, $24 is how much Founders charged for a 4-pack I do believe, and thats the standard price everywhere. $20 on the bomber is also good, I believe they were $18 at Founders. Big Red is doing $25 for a bomber! Why would anyone even buy a bomber....thats basically only 2 bottles. Thats a $40-50 4-pack!

This is correct on Founders pricing at the brewery.

That's a pretty illegal thing to do. Surprised shops are still doing that.

Just some semantics, but a 750 is not a bomber. 750's are more than 2 bottles at 25.4 oz. But yes, you're correct, I priced each bottle per oz. in an above post, and the 750's are a huge rip off. But bomber/750 format always has been. So, yes, $20 for a 750 is a rip off. So is 25. I still bought one 750, but turned down the opp to buy many more.
