Saw in NH yesterday. $24.99/4-pack at a place that’s cheap. Hard pass, I’ll get a draft at some point.
Top dollar for sure and never my first choice. I do like that if you have found something there before, chances are they will have it again. Stopped by The Beer Store in Nashua, NH yesterday..they also had plenty of KBS.
I'll be stopping in my usual at some point next week, though they are sometimes a week behind on deliveries. They'll have a couple cases come imn, I'll grab a 4-pack or 2 and call it good. I have plenty in my cellar that I need to break into. I did open one ( I think a '14 or so) a few weeks ago, and enjoyed it greatly. The coffee was faded, but I don't mind that too much - it was still there, with the chocolate and bourbon was still nice.
Interesting, I opened a '15 last night and felt it was "past" though not bad of course. But for my tastes it made me realize that I shouldn't let the rest of my stash sit longer, which ranges from '16-18'.
I have a single 10 sitting around - should drink that soon - and others from about 14 on. I often find it a bit hot fresh, and I don't mind less coffee flavor. To each their own, though.
You have a 9 year old bottle? Beer isn’t wine, man. It’s probably not going to taste as good as if it was a week old
Grabbed a $25 four on Friday, it's ok. Probably needs more lactose, vanilla, cookie dough, Oreo, peanut butter cup swirl.
I'm sure you're right. This one I got with a few years on it to begin with, and then it got lost in my cellar for a while. I found it last summer, and have been waiting for a good time to bust it out. I have a few other things almost that old - a couple sours, a few Dark Lords from I think '11... maybe one or 2 other things.
Or a whiskey barrell. Or a thrash metal band playing at its release. Or more dudes with sweet beards promoting it.
Got a four-pack yesterday @ Kappy's in Norwell. I think they said they were getting 15 cases of four-packs, & 5 cases of bombers. Nice bonus to spot some King Sue next to the display.
Got bombers and 4 packs in Kingston today, also Colloq, coffee vanilla stout, from Hoof Hearted showed up!
