KBS sightings around Pittsburgh 2014

I have heard of zero. I'm sure it's going to be a cluster F as usual. Hopefully to at least get 1 bottle or so somewhere.

Tracking down more than a bottle in Pittsburgh is just a hassle. Have you guys tried Full Pint Rye Rebellion? It's absolutely glorious. Pick up a couple 4 pack if you have a chance.

 

I've been so busy lately I didn't even get chances to put my name on lists. My plan of attack is this: Check two of the GE's nearby me on Tuesday and then rely on the kindness of people I've worked with before on here. Otherwise, just not worth it.

 

I know this a long shot, but if anyone has the opportunity to purchase a case, I'd love to go in on it with you.

 

Called the whole foods Wexford earlier. Said their list is full. Does anyone know if it will actually be available on April 1st? Seems like other markets are having release parties tomorrow. Have the bottles already been shipped?

 

I second the case thing. I'd be happy to go in on one too or if I get one, i'd be more than happy to break it up and distribute at cost

 

I will be looking for cases to. Would be interested in splitting if any of us get lucky.

Goes without saying. Would love to split a case or take whatever you don't want. Will be searching hard. Willing to trade some BCBS for some if anyone is interested.

 

And the person who scores the case to split should probably earn a few interesting extras to reward their luck.

 

I think that's the standard line in these threads for stuff like this now =) I'll look but I doubt I can get anywhere tomorrow that I know some you guys probably haven't already checked in on. I'll scout Bellevue Beer since it's just a mile away from me and they move a solid amount of Founders product. Meanwhile if anyone else finds one I'll gladly throw in on it as well. You can also use my wife for the night but good luck with that one.

 

Not much different than most on this thread... Have my name down at a few places, but not expecting much. Fortunately, I have a great trading relationship with a guy in Illinois who will be sending me at least one bottle. I honestly just want to try it fresh as I have already imbibed a 2012 bottle which I received in a trade a couple months ago. Thought it was delicious, but believe it has to be better fresh. I'm very hesitant to age bottles with coffee in them. I love that flavor too much to let it die!

Re: Rye Rebellion- It seems to be off this year. I have to wonder if the barrels they used were actually wet, cause I'm not getting NEARLY as much barrel character as I did on the 2013 vintage I had a few months ago. I have two 2014 bottles stashed away. We'll see if that helps.

Which Whole foods location are you referring to? I thought they could have reserve list at Whole foods and Wegmans? If they do it would explain a lot of my disappointment lately in scoring limited releases.
