KBS vs. BCBS: Which is easier to get?

Neither sadly. Both sell out in Buffalo, NY in minutes

 

I'll bet that the 32 votes for KBS (as of this writing) are from Michiganders. For whatever reason, we get very little BCBS here, so the KBS was my vote. (And it's really not easy to get much of it unless you pound the pavement.)

 

For me, BCBS hands down.

For BCBS I was able to score 1 Vanilla Rye, 1 Barley wine, 2 Coffee and 4 Regular after visiting just two stores.

After visiting three stores looking for KBS I was able to get 4.

 

BCBS is way easier to get hands down. I can still find it with little effort but I already have over a case left. I had to do alot of hustling to get 18 bottles of KBS.

 

Minnesota seems to get next to nothing for BCBS (at least for the stores I go to). KBS is a lot easier for me to find. It works for me though, I prefer KBS.

 

Here's why it is easier to get KBS, BCBS is so damn popular that everyone even people who don't even consider themselves craft geeks wants it and because it is produced in such large volumes, the lengths one has to go to get some is nuts. KBS not everyone seems to love whereas everyone loves BCBS

 

Yeah, I only voted KBS because I probably could have bought a ticket and driven the 2 hours to the brewery release if I really wanted to, while there's no comparable option for BCBS*. In retail, both KBS and BCBS are goddamn ghosts around here, and I've never actually seen a variant in a store.

(* - Except to drive to New England, apparently. Kind of infuriating that they have cases sitting on shelves in April.)

 

BCBS is easier and way better imo as I've seen many other say as well. Puts that make it scarce and everyone will rave about to bed...at least for this example.

 

I've been in the industry for seven years and not once has KBS been easier to find than Bourbon County.

 

I was going to start a thread like this. This is all thanks to the purchase by InBev. I got 8 bottles of BCBS and 1 single bottle of KBS. Say what you will about Goose Island, but I think it was a great move!

 

I think Des Moines got more BCBS than KBS. KBS sold out in less than an hour at most stores. BCBS took a few hours.

I don't like CBS, so I just tell myself I wouldn't like KBS either.

 

i know a store that is still selling BCBS singles in the refer case too

 

KBS does not have distribution to CA but BCBS does. Prefer KBS.

 

speak for yourself RI, CA is hard to get, anyways with that being said my city only got 6 cases of BCBS and no variants, lame I know I ended up with 10 bottles, and no KBS as the distro does not make it out here

 

BCBS is easier to find unless you live in one of the places lucky enough to get a ton of KBS. I don't have a hard time getting BCBS out here in California. Getting KBS? Ain't happening.

 

I got 2 packs of KBS but my town is usually shut out of BCBS. I will go with KBS. In all honesty, it is just a matter of location.

 

That is the first time that I think anyone has ever uttered those words. But to each, his own opinion.

 

About 5 months after release, I can still walk into a couple of bodegas near me and get a bunch of 4-packs of BCBS and BCBBW. I spent a lot of time (and money) last week getting 6 bottles of KBS to share with some friends.

This is going to be a largely regional thing, but I have to imagine that BCBS is going to be a lot easier overall.

 

Yeah- as of a couple of weeks ago I was still helping my brother get his hands on some BCBS in Queens. It might still be there for all I know.
