Is Indianapolis getting bottles on April 1? I know a few restaurants that will be serving it that day.

I would say, a blind taste test of this years beer would leave most guessing something other than KBS, it's THAT different to me. And as I've said elsewhere, I actually like it better this year due to the fact I'm getting sick of the BBA stouts, they're getting too sweet to me. You haven't had much fresh KBS if you don't immediately recognize the change. Prior years were way more similar to each other than this years, it's a fact even mentioned by the brewer. And he was prolly apologizing since they messed with the new "Brewed for Women" slogan....

I have a friend taking a trip to St Johns Michigan this weekend & their willing to look for some KBS for me

I told her to stop my Founders on the way up. Is there any left at stores?

You won't find any in Grand Rapids. Anything at Founders is all ticketed release. It's been on tap since the release but you can't get growler fills of it. There is nothing at Founders for sale in bottles you can't get anywhere else.

Any liquors stores or stores in any town on the way up or near St Johns that you or anyone else seen it still available?

Not very likely. There's a chance that a small, rural store may have some undiscovered by the masses or a store that that either got it late or didn't put it out right away, but I wouldn't get your hopes up too high. At this point it would probably be easier to catch a bottle near you after the national release on April 1.

Michigan saw its distribution earlier than other states (which start on April 1st). The vast majority of it (that is not grossly overpriced by retailers) has been purchased. If you want to pay $12 for a 12oz bottle there are probably a few places selling singles here and there.

Had a 750mL at a share yesterday and I dare to say that the 750 was tasting noticeably different than a 12oz I had a week or so prior. Much more dark chocolate flavor in the large format bottle, compared to the 12oz which was more coffee forward.

    Anyone else experience that?

Was it your first beer of the share? If not, I'd like to suggest that the other beers you had prior to it may have influenced your palate a bit?

First beer. Believe me, I thought I was crazy too, but everyone tended to agree.

When I decide to open one of my 750ml's I'll report back.

Called a couple suburban Binnys today and selling tomorrow 9 am. Limit a 4 pack or 1 750 ml. Which sounds good because last year many places were limit 2 bottles.

St Charles is doing the same. Was told the 750 would be around $21 and 4 packs around $24.

My go-to small local liquor store in far western burbs is not getting their KBS allocation until Monday. Also, wonder if Meier stores in Chicagoland will have KBS, as was the case in Michigan during the release there?

Founders has been doing a ton of these tappings across Michigan this past month.

Although the KBS on draft has been great, I've been just as impressed by the other beers they've featured alongside it: BBA Curmudgeon, BBA Redankulous, Frootwood, Backwoods Bastard just to name a few. They've been great events and I recommend going even if you're not after just KBS.

According to their website, only 1 location in IL will have it.
It will be at several Jewel locations on Monday.
