I'll be sure to bring my parents as mules for me, sitting on the ticket server now. Is it Feb 14th yet?

How has the ticket system worked in the past - What's an individuals allotment, and how are bottle pickup lines?

Last year, allotment was 8 bottles. No lines to speak of when I went.

Similar to years in past. Tickets are "name specific". Purchased online before the event. You select the day you want to purchase and have the option to buy up to 8 bottles for $20 a 4-pack.

well, a lot of those details can be found on the link but simply put a ticket allows you to purchase 2 4-packs @ $20 per, but only on the day for which the ticket was purchased.

You can basically show up at any point during the day and get in your allotment, so depending on when you show it could be a bit of a wait but were not talking long at all.

Actually purchasing the tickets has been the trick the last few years so hopefully its hiccup free this year. I got shut out a few years ago when the system crapped out from the traffic volume.

Edit: I actually heard some people having luck with different browsers (IE v Chrome v Firefox) that year which, due to throwing an adult tantrum, I did not think to try...something to keep in mind if it happens again this year.

Great thanks. Having my wedding in Michigan on 3/28 - so timing of release works out perfectly. Looking forward to it!

That was when they used the shoddy Brown Paper Tickets. Since they moved to Eventbrite, a provider that actually understands how to load balance, there haven't been issues.

Went last year to the ticketed release and it was smooth as silk. Gonna give it a go again this year:rolling_eyes:

You right...Funny follow up from Brown Paper Tickets; As an apology they offered some people $20 gift cards to Founders to those of us that took the time to complain via their customer service, but they made it very clear that you had to declare online vs. company store at the brewery. Wasn't sure when I'd be near the brewery again so I asked for an online gift certificate and they promptly sent me the opposite...but I guess I should've expected it.

Still have it too, keep forgetting it at home when I'm over there.

@TastyDelicousness @end_27 myself and a few others will definitely be putting on another bottle share again like we did last year. Since the date(s) were just announced today, we'll now start looking into a venue, time, google doc, etc...

1/all of us will be sure to post the updates in here once we get things figured out.

Rest assured, whether we get tickets or not, the bottle share will happen!

    Cheers!!

I assure you the bottle share will go on. My advice is to book a room in the area. I know last year some folks took taxis. That combined with Uber, we should be able to have plenty of drinks and have everyone get back to a hotel safe. In the upcoming days I'll try to get together with the other folks and get a game plan together. We do have some time until the share, so might not be in the next day

I just look forward to seeing some old friends and some new faces.

Cheers all and follow this thread so you can catch the updates.
