Call founders and ask how long they'll hold your KBS for you until it's forfeited.

"By purchasing this ticket, you are securing your rights to purchase up to (3) 4-packs (12 bottles) of KBS, ONLY on the specific date listed on your ticket. All ticket holders for any given date are required to make their purchase only ON THE DATE listed on their ticket, IN PERSON, or will forfeit the opportunity. Refunds will not be issued for unused or lost tickets.

Any allotted bottles that are not purchased on their given date will be added to the reserve inventory, which will be released at a future unannounced date in our taproom."

That could always refer to the cellar week they had a couple weeks ago so they probably haven't decided what to do with any unclaimed bottles yet.

 

Coming into town early Friday. Stopping at Bell's (11AM) for lunch/beer(s), planning on hitting Perrin, Hideout and Vivant when I get into GR (~1PM). Hideout doesn't seem to have food so it'll likely be my first stop after Bell's. Where should I eat dinner? Perrin or Vivant?

 

I've only eaten at Vivant and plan to eat there again so take that for what it's worth. Hop Cat has good food too if you're looking for pub fare.

Agreed. Both have good food but Vivant wins by more than a slight edge.

There were plenty of sales at the taproom last year about 4 weeks long. Usually on the Wed. following the release of KBS.

 

I was just curious to find out if anyone else here has a kegerator and knew if it's possible to ever get kegs of KBS from a distributor or is this a long shot? Forgive me if this question has already been asked...

 

I'm sure there would be a lot of unhappy KBS-less people if distributors were passing kegs out to individuals. But hey, I suppose anything is possible... If you know a guy...

I've just bought certain microbrew beer in a sixth barrel form such as dark horse flavors, bells flavors, and other popular ones from a local liquor store nearby. I just didn't know if you get founders products too. Guess there's only one way to find out. If anyone has got any founders kegs( of any kind ) please let me know.

 

Well I got that question answered for me. There's only gonna be a limited amount of KBS distributed in my area and they're all ready reserved for certain bars/restaurants. But I can get a few other Founder's products in kegs though.

 

Anyone gonna be at the Saturday release not interested in getting the full allotment?

Just make sure to be within 10min of Founders because once word gets out, it was gone FAST!
I drove the hour up from Kzoo to Founders one day when someone announced it on BA that Founders was selling bottles (I was in my truck within 3min of the announcement) & the store clerk looked at me like I was crazy when I got there asking for KBS

 

Haven't heard much feedback as to which bars/pubs did a good or bad job with the KBS release. Any comments?

 

The line to get into the tap room is wrapped around the building atm. Pretty sure Irish on Ionia isn't helping the madness, either.
