$24 is not gouging by any means.

yeah considering a 4pk is $20 from the source, albeit taxes inclusive, 24 seems reasonable. Now that they released it early, well that's another story.

I asked the clerk about releasing early but he said this was different from other releases in that it is "recommended" by the distributor to release it 3/30.

Founders usually asks distributors to not release until after their set "release date" so as long as the distributor has it in now, stores should see it on their first normal delivery day on the 30th or after.

Seen it at several Chicago area liquor stores already over the past few days. The distributors are certainly not holding it back, its up to the stores whether they care to follow that recommendation. Seems absolutely stupid to me to try to release it all at once.

Anyone know of a spot between Port Huron and Warren that may have a bottle or two available? Any advice is appreciated.

How's the price gouging looking this year?

Haven't seen any yet and probably won't go looking for more. I have no doubt it will be similar to this past years BCBS gouging at many places.

They gouge for BCBS over there?? The ONLY bottles I saw for sale in my area were $12.50 ea limit 2. I would have thought BCBS is the water of Chicago like KBS is the water of Grand Rapids/K'zoo. KBS in my area was $8, some limit 2, others limit 4, some requiring other purchases.

FYI they are selling tickets guaranteeing a pour and 2 bottles at the Whole Foods West Loop in Chicago

That's how Madison area distributors are handling it, as told to me by multiple people from the distributor.

Any reason they aren't releasing glasses this year?

Is it equally stupid for the BCBS release?

I believe those are last year's glasses. Founder's didn't release a new 2015 glass, as they apparently still had a ton of the 2014 glasses.

2105 KBS is drinking much better in a 2013 glass than a 2014 glass.

Oh....and if you haven't added a dash of maple syrup to your KBS yet, do it! You won't be disappointed. I don't have Blis but used Dark Horse BA maple. Any real maple will probably do. Could have sworn I was drinking CBS. Although that was at the end of a night of bottle sharing....

Generic looking. Looks like a bunch of 6 year olds made them in a sweatshop in China.
