Conversely, the ticket system gets rid of line cutters, and IMO is a more even playing field. Doesnt do anything to cut out mules, but you have them either way.

 

It is confusing, but inspect your ticket again. I thought the same thing.

 

No release system is perfect and I do like the ease of the ticketing system. I just love release events with big bottle shares beforehand. The socializing and sharing of beers is often the best part of any release.

 

The certainly each have their benefits and drawbacks.

 

Anytime there is more supply than demand, someone will get shutout and butthurt will occur. Someone will always complain that the system isn't fair. Bit founders does more than most at least with the ID scanning system people can't get multiple allocations, unlike most other releases. And the name matching keeps the resale market out.

 

Got mine for Thursday, no problems. Used Chrome and got on exactly at 11 (iPhone time).

 

I feel your pain same here for me and my GF..both in at 11am both got waiting roomed..both got shut out. In fact I got waiting roomed twice because I got booted the first time....refreshed there were Wednesday tickets and same thing happened. Yet somehow I saw people saying the got tickets at 11:10....

DH doesn't distribute BB plead at all. Also they're a Michigan only brewery and they don't have the same following as Founders.

The issue is Founders is putting too much into distribution. When I see pics on here or people literally buying cases or cases sitting on shelves in other states yet I cant get any in Michigan or have to jump though 15 hoops to buy one bottle with a hundred percent markup..I get a little upset about it.

 

I ended up getting tickets for Thursday, but my fiancée got shut out, and we were both in at the same time. Weird, I know a million people were trying to get tickets, just thought that both of us simultaneously would've gotten tickets.

Told her that her engagement ring was on the line for it. She didn't get a ticket, so I guess it's time for her to give up the diamonds...

So, this might be a very stupid question. I was able to get a KBS ticket. Does this guarantee me being able to purchase 3 four packs, as long as I come on the day of my ticket? Like, no matter what, there will be 3 four packs for me...right?

DH isn't Mich only, but your point still stands. 100% of BBPt5 is sold at the brewery. For KBS, I doubt it's more than 20%, and it's FAR more well-known. My mother has heard of KBS.

I too thought this at first, I chose Saturday. When you login to Eventbrite and look under "my tickets", it says 2015 KBS Release Tuesday March 10 @ 12pm. But when I download my ticket it says Saturday on it so you might want to double check.

Yeah you're right.. still can't see the full spelling of Wednesday but at least the date is correct
