Yep. So, unless the 55 cases counts restaurants, then I would think there will be a decent allotment at the places that get it. That might mean 3-4 cases instead of 1-2, but anything helps :grinning:

Yeah I was including restaurants as well.... so even if there are only 10-12 dedicated craft beer stores I'd bet theres another dozen restaurants/craft bars that will get a case or 2

Who do you think that would be restaurant wise? I am guessing at best Busy Bee, Raleigh Times, one random account, Flying Saucer, and Tylers (with one of those counting as a bottle shop). Not familiar with what is in Durham as far as craft bars and whether they get really limited stuff like CBS, KBS, etc. It wouldn't surprise me if a couple of accounts like Ridgewood didn't see any at all since they are so new, and the other places like the Beer Dispensary seeing only seeing one.

Milltown will almost surely get 1. There are also multiple TYler's locations. Not sure which other places carry Founders.

But if we get to 25 accounts, that's an average of 2 cases per place. Gut feeling says that sounds like a 2-bottle limit, with some places allowing a 4-pack for whatever reason, including that they just don't realize the demand maybe.

I spoke with my store in Charlotte and there is for sure a bottle limit there. So I imagine he isn't expecting a big allotment.

I would imagine that 55 is the total for all independent retailers, bars/restaurants, and yes you can bet that all the total wines and whole foods will at least get some, so that doesn't leave a lot of cases! However some of the bars will only take allocations of the kegs and not package, but there weren't a ton of kegs either so some places are going to have to take package! I would say most of your favorite local "rock-star" retailers will get 2-5 cases each, probably closer to the 2 than the 5! Good Luck in the Hunt!!

Does KBS make it to south GA? I will be in the FL panhandle this weekend and can shoot up that way.

Just got 2x 4-packs. Haven't checked out, but supposedly under $20. BM me for the location, I don't want to give an edge to any lurkers with bad intentions.

I like that Sam's is doing this. Instead of bolting out of work at lunch and hoping they still have a 4pack or two left I'll get a fair shot at it this weekend.

I spoke to someone at Whole Foods North Raleigh yesterday and they said they started their waiting list for 4 packs over two months ago. I guess this is fair, but I was still pretty disappointed. I'll get my shot in Durham on Saturday though.

"My" location was Whole Foods in Chapel Hill; apparently they are out, as well.. Sorry if I didn't respond to your message; I wasn't at home, and I got a bunch of messages.

Wow, surprised you got 8 bottles anywhere. Last year, WF Raleigh had 1 bottle per person. I can't get to TJs tonight nor to Sam's Saturday before 4:30, so it looks like I'm shut out this year. Maybe I'll drink my last bottle of 2011 KBS tonight.

I travelled from Raleigh on my lunch break to Whole Foods in Chapel Hill about an hour and a half ago. There was a guy talking to the clerk with 2 four packs in his cart when I got there. They were the last two.

I did swing by the Whole Foods on Wade Ave on the way back and they had a 1 bottle per customer limit and were not out as of 12:30 pm. Its a complete mess over there though, good luck parking. It looked like they were about halfway through their only case.

Just got a text from my GF (who i sent to Whole Foods on her lunch break), "They better not be out."

ETA: Got another text from my GF at 1:00 pm sharp. They have 8 bottles left.

    So you're getting 8 bottles?

Sorry I didn't write you back quickly.

I feel excitement mixed with weird guilt

No, the guy that got there 2 minutes before I did got 8 bottles. I lucked out and got 1 on a whim stop in on the way back to work. Whole Foods on Wade has a 1 per customer limit and they had 8 bottles left after my GF got hers at 1:00 pm today. I just wanted to give a heads up to the board for people that are having trouble getting some

No worries though. I couldn't have left work before lunch break anyway. AND I didn't get shut out in the end.
