If at all possible, always store beer at serving temp.
Clearly, different beer types have different serving temperatures.
Otherwise, keep 'em in a cool and dark place (obviously), if you want to store them for a longer period of time.

Don't need to get inside. That’s why the two elephants in the fridge begin to giggle when the door is closed. The light goes out.

No need to be a dick about it.
1.) I wasn't generalizing people who buy beer stating that most will put beer on their side, it's just a well known fact.
2.) Yes every time you open a fridge a bright light goes on. This is constant light exposure even if it's a short period of time, how many times do people open their fridge a day?? Probably a lot at night.
3.) We assume that all beers are airtight and yes oxidation will toast a beer faster than having a mildew filled fridge.
4.) If we are talking about keeping beer cold for past 30+ days then yes the term "aging" is going to get thrown in.

    THX.

Your fridge isn't always ON. It keeps on and off. It's a very humid place. Open it and close it, open it and close then you'll see condensation on your bottles. I think if you Google this you'll be able to understand it better. I'm having a hard time explaining this atm. Lack of sleep for about 2 weeks now and I had no caffeine tonight.

You have lost 50 beer karma points for being the first person ever to use the word 'dick' when referring to jesskidden.

What's wrong with keeping your beer on it's side? I stand up all of my IPAs in my regular fridge, but I keep all of my stouts and barleywines in my wine fridge where side-storage is neccessitated. Oops...
