Does anyone know of any databases or website that are the go-to's for keeping up with news on new varieties of hops as well as characteristics of currently available and emerging hops?
I gave up a long time ago...if new ones are any good, they will get a name and you will taste a commercial example that will pique your interest. These guys seem to get a lot of the experimental (#ed) hops: http://www.farmhousebrewingsupply.com/pellet-hops/
https://byo.com/resources/hops I like this site as you can pick a type of beer you are making and then compare.
This one. https://ychhops.com/varieties Edit: I buy some from here, and they have some experimentals from time to time. The experimentals are a crapshoot. http://www.yakimavalleyhops.com/category_s/1948.htm
Ekuanot! hA! I was wondering what they would change the name to since my bags say HBC 366 (formely Equinox).
These guys have also published this as a notebook. It is pretty slick. But now I see it online, so why bother? I do think this YCH summary is the best thing going. Cheers.
