More food and more easily available water stations would improve next year's event. Also loved the growler deal, but there's no need for them to give so much away, as I see it. I loved the value proposition but worry about businesses giving so much away. Great time, great to see so many BAs and Twitter folk out. Loved taking home growlers of BCCCS and 2013 BCS for the next few days.

 

Has Keg Stand given beer info on this year's event?

 

I found a couple of lists posted on Twitter while I was wondering about the tap list this weekend. I have transcribed them below, please forgive any errors. There are also supposed to be 20 casks on tap with one teaser photo of Ballast Point Grunion with Passion Fruit Puree. There isn't anything that the WhaleBros are looking for but I think it is a pretty decent lineup for the price (sub-$30) especially when you consider the growler fill that is included. Does anyone know how the growler fill works? I assume you can fill after the event or near the end after they are nearly done so everyone gets a chance at a taste of everything? Are there some beers that are not allowed to be growler fills? If not I'll make sure to fill my growler right off the bat with something tasty and charge the poor saps who didn't get a chance for a taste from my growler (or not).

I sent a message to Keg Stand to answer my own question. Growler fills start at 4 o'clock, anything on tap is fair game.

 

Looks like a pretty good lineup. I don't think this includes the 20 casks. Should be fun. Anything you are really excited for?

 

I don't think those folks in Grand Rapids would be too thrilled to know there's some poor knock-off brewers stealing their brands.

 

Same with Schell's, New Holland, Madhouse, Breckenridge, Central Waters...phew.

 

So which outlet mall is hosting this again?

 

Hopefully they run the event better than they proofread.

Being confused seems to be a common theme with you.

There are a lot of typos in the image, like Shellls (one extra l), New Holand, Madhoue.

 

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this event was ran. Rare, BCBCS and Regal were nice surprises. Only things I'd change is having a couple more food trucks and some of the casks weren't labeled. More than worth the price of admission.

 

Oh and I don't think I ever waited more than a minute or two for a pour. Another big plus
