Awsome.. Hope you have it already plugged in..And leave the door closed!!!don't open door every 5 minutes to f with the pressure and temp.Temp adjustments take 24hrs to compensate properly.I would maybe set temp to 5 1/2 or 6 to start to get a feel for temps.
As far as warranty card from original owner is void now. Warranty is non transferable.

Sounds like the deal of the century, that's like $2k worth of product. You can't mention Bud here on BA, they will delete your profile.

I sincerely hope you're not still trying to figure out how to get this balanced when your guests arrive. I think you are taking a risk, as PortLargo warned. Good Luck.

How do you know the tank is half full? (The regulator doesn't tell you how full the tank is. At a given temperature, the high pressure gauge will give the same reading when it's almost empty as it will when 100% full.) If you have an accurate scale, you can weigh the tank (without the regulator), and subtract the tare weight, which should be on the cylinder.

The warranty card was never filled out. Should I send it in? I took the co2 tank to the gas store and they weighed it. The owner said I don't want to take your money and there is at least enough gas for 3-4 more kegs. He couldn't believe the condition of the bottle either. I have a friend coming over who used to work for champion so hopefully he will get it working.

The only thing I need to do is put the door on right but that can be done later.

Not unless you want to commit fraud. Seriously, it's not the warranty card that entitles one to a non-transferable warranty. It's the act of buying a new unit.

Its been running for less than 20 minutes. Set to setting 5. Compressor shut off at 34 degrees flat.

    Now it's at 33.6

Is that air temp? Much different than liquid temp. If that door isn't sealing properly you might face a few problems trying to run the unit, the biggest of which is the compressor will run continuously or too much and burn out. Hopefully the previous owner wasn't running it like that.

Correct bevair would be asking for a copy of your receipt anyway. Those cards are useless.

You are the only person I know of who has gotten a better deal than this guy $0 + sweat equity < $350.

I watched the compressor cycle over the period of an hour and the door isn't causing a short cycle. The gasket is sealed. I have the receipts for the unit and all paperwork.

How does the door adjust? I think the bottom pin and top pin are reversed.

Ok how to I avoid freezing the beer? Air temp is now 32.4. The brewery is 10 minutes from my house and they just took the keg out of their walk in freezer.

Air temp is 31.6 and the compressor has been off for around 15 min.

What is wrong with the door? is it because it looks cocked? Because they are designed with that pitch to close properly.

Is the keg in there yet?

Thank you for your help. The temp is still dropping. It's at 27 now. T stat is set to 5. Compressor is still off. Is the keg cooling down the box? If it is then is the beer warming up?

I think you will be ok. I have never seen a bevair that needs to run below a setting of 5.Above yes but below no..
You wont freeze your beer until tomorrow afternoon at that temp. But I'm pretty confident temp will come up.Check beer temps later tonight see what your pouring.
With draft beer you need to adjust by beer temps not airtemps. And this takes 24hr between adjustments.
