hello, I purchased a B&K Beverage & Air keggarator a few months ago (used) and I cannot get the beer cooler then 45-50 degrees. The beer is far from ice cold and I've checked for leaks and adjusted the temp dial in the fridge and nothing has changed it. It looks like an older model, model #MM23. Does anybody have any tips to fix it at home? Or do I need to call a fridge pro?
Do you mean a Beverage Air BM23? Does the compressor run 100% or does it cycle on and off? If it is cycling you should look at the T-stat. The appliance is cutting out before it gets to temp. That could be a bad thermostat. Replacing the thermostat is usually easy if you have some basic skills and can use a Grainger catalog. You can also try to relocate the probe to a warmer area, away from the cold coil. If the compressor is always running there is a good chance the unit needs service. Call a technician and expect to pay. Cheers.
