Off topic but to give you an idea of the sort of bastards MM can be...

Line cleaners use Sanke heads to speed up the work. A board with a bunch of sanke heads can be put in series, the couplers are attached and one big loop is made. Pump solution for 15 minutes. Clear water etc etc. Done.

These sankes heads are made by a few companies and are industry standard. Like they are supposed to be. That's the reason everyone adopted Sanke to begin with. The dimensions are very precise and a lot of effort goes into fabrication.

Micromatic has on occasion slightly altered their couplers such that the ball lifter designed into the cleaning heads no longer work with MM couplers. MM does not advertise these changes, the design offers nothing new, they are not improved. Just that they no longer work with the standard cleaning head. You have to ask why they make these very small changes.

MM is known to poach work from vendors that are not on their exclusive installers list. Yeah, their field sales people will try to cut you out if they can, then take your calls like it's normal operations. Unbelievable.

Notice that most of the major supply houses do not stock MM equipment or if they do only minimal. Nobody can deal with them and nobody wants to.

Cornies are lighter, too....I have a brewing buddy that insists on using Sankeys and had to build a dolly to move them full and has had continuing infection problems (may or may not be related)

Cornies are 17 times easier to clean, and to keep clean because you can actually see what you are washing. When I wash sankey kegs. I can only verify their cleanliness by liquid clarity and temperature to the touch. Believe me. This is way harder than it looks with the shit people stick into those things, and when they store them at ambient temps.
