Kelly's Package and Old Forge, NW MA. WOW

Well just back from skiing up at Jiminy Peak. I hauled some stuff up with us for the room but had asked here a few weeks ago what I could find up there.

First, we took our family up to Old Forge restaurant. Solid tap list and a whole binder full of bottles on hand. THe beer was good, but HOLY CRAP, the wings and beer were both killer.

Now for Kelly's Package. After a few days riding, I took a 15 min ride out to Dalton. Nice easy country drive. Got to Kelly's and was just looking for some recommendations on local brews to try. I trapped a 6pk of Lost Sailor IPA and the last bottle of Founders Big Lushious that I could find this season.

Got to talking to one of the great folks there. They must have sensed my appreciation for the craft because we told me that KBS and Jacks Abbey Framinghammer was just about to walk in the door if I wanted to wait a few minutes.

I was in a GREAT place at the right time and scored KBS and Framinghammer to complement some local stuff and Big Luscious. AWESOME!!
