I've never been but I've always wanted to go to Tributary Brewing Company in Kittery, ME. Its owned by Tod Mott who is known for brewing the original Harpoon IPA and the infamous Kate The Great (which is now called Mott The Lesser). I only mention it because personally I'm intrigued by brewers that have been around as long as someone like Tod Mott.

It's good, and it's 5 minutes from my office. With that being said, the only beer I truly prefer there is the Pale Ale. It's great and low abv. The IPA is well, like an IPA of the past. It's hard to go back to that, and several people who were there when we stopped by on Sunday agreed and switched to the pale. His other beers are quite good, but again, nothing new or mind blowing. Mott the Lesser is good, but not quite what Kate was.

However, it takes some big cojones to brew a more traditional non hazy, juice bomb IPA.

Overall it is certainly worth the trip. But I tend to enjoy more offerings and bang for my buck locally at the Portsmouth Brewery if that helps. But I also have less time to do this having a young daughter now. We do love visiting there though and it's quite comfortable to relax and have a beer. If ranked my preferences locally.
