Will be visiting family this week in Kenosha. Anyone have suggestions on beers to search out? I live in Denver so we don't get a lot of the great lakes area beers.

    Thanks

Anything by New Glarus is great, especially their fruit beers which are readily avaiable. Moon Man and Scream are excellent as well. Woodmans is a good place to shop.

Check out Woodmans and Tenutas. Then head to Uncle Mikes Highway Pub.

If you have plans to head up to Milwaukee....check out burnhearts. Little neighborhood bar with a huge selection....including some beers that are otherwise difficult to find

Rustic Road and Public Craft Brewing are 2 newer brew-pubs in Kenosha that seem to be holding their own, but a second to either Uncle Mike's, Captain Mike's, or Mikey's (all under the same ownership) for their tap selections.

Never been to the others, but Uncle Mikes is almost always a must stop when hitting up Kenosha. Right off the highway and next to Woodmans (definitely the best, largest and cheapest bottle shop), they have a huge local tap list and they will growler fill any beer.

Definitely check out Uncle Mike's, as people have mentioned, has a great tap list and decent food.

Edit: The Fezy Chicken Dip appetizer with tortilla chips is an awesome appetizer to go with an ipa.

Also, under the same umbrella of owners, Mike's Chicken and Doughnuts has opened and I would say now has the best tap selection in Kenosha.
