Any difference in distro vs brewery pricing?

I agree here. I have had two bottles. One was fabulous the other tasted like straight vinegar....HUGE difference, not sure why but I imagine that's why the reviews are all over the place.

    HVB Collab...

kentfallsbrewingTake me back to harvest day. Our cross cultural collaboration with @hudsonvalleybrewery is back! This batch, is our first with Connecticut grown malted barley and our 2016 harvest of Brewers Gold and Chinook is a delicate gathering of light acidity, funk, citrus and grassy tea notes. Available at the brewery this Saturday.

Everything I've had from Kent Falls has been great.

This post had no practical function or depth, sorry.

No Worries, it was more for folks following Hudson Valley Brewery (HVB), which has yet to open. Nonetheless, there’s some well-warranted hype surfacing around Gargiulo and his accolades

    Woahhh!

Off topic: The HVB x Stillwater Collab, Hopvine Bling, is absolutely fantastic. Super complex, lots of unique interplay between the nelson sauvin hops, sauvignon blanc grape must, and berliner yeast.

All clocked in around 5% too, making it even more impressive; really knows how to pull out the intricacies of a brew. He’s done a collab. with Threes as well, but don’t want to side track here to much…just can’t wait until the shop finally opens

On topic: “Variant” release sounds killer

    Sorry if this is an old topic and/or annoying;

Distribution of bottles to MA has seemed to have decreased. Is there any sense that this will change?

Not many small businesses are equipped to handle swarms of people at early stages. I appreciate that instead of denying this reality, Kent Falls is taking preemptive steps to manage crowd size/expectations (both for their own sake and for ours).

I owned a business, a risky thing. No business owner will or should ever turn down money from willing customers.

That's your business philosophy - never turn down any customer money, ever.

Here's another - there's no such thing as a universal business philosophy.

Well if there was a universal business philosophy it would include income up front somewhere. (though I realize that there are some wealthy people who start businesses and don't really need to watch the bottom line at first- but most people don't become wealthy by being stupid).

Coming sometime before/after Thanksgiving. Just got the ordering email yesterday:

"Horse Mask Party - 100% CT grown brett pale ale. 5.6% abv, same yeast strain as Waymaker etc, hopped with Chinook and Tahoma. Tell us what you think!

Coffee Table Beer - a 4.5% porter, brewed with chocolate malted rye and roasted barley from Valley Malt, and ethiopian yrgacheffe coffee from Irving Farm. Our first dark beer of the season! Dry, light bodied with plenty of roast and deep fruits and chocolate flavor."
