    Kentucky lost a godfather of the beer community yesterday.

    Scott Hand, head brewer at Monnik in Louisville, passed after a cardiac/pulmonary event.

    He was at Beer Engine in Danville prior, and before that, he was at Alltech, where he was instrumental in the development of the young men who would help make Lexington beer what it has become now.

    Scott will be dearly missed.

    At announcing bo and luke day on November 6th. I know most people don't go crazy for this beer but its one of my favorites. Has anybody down there heard anything about variants?
